High quality product,withstood a long tumble down an icy hill with no issues outside of inside. Not easily adjustable inside rod seats but protected my rods. Love the storage space. Worth the investment to protect my rods. Too big to fit in my sled but I can deal with that. Lid lock functionality is easy and strong. Looks built well and it is.

It was unfortunate to see the lack of care and thought that went into packaging this almost $300 rod box. The seller barely attempted to package this before shipping it. All they did was put a couple of layers of plastic wrap around it and the rod box showed up damaged with big gashes in the plastic and scratches everywhere. A simple cardboard box could have prevented this or kept the damage minimal. Besides the rod box showing up damaged, the 48" listed in the product description is a little deceiving. Yes, it is 48" on the outside of the box, but on the inside it can fit maybe a 45" rod at best. I was pretty disappointed to find this out. I may have kept this product if it was in better shape, because it is a sweet rod box, but will likely be returning it because it doesn't fit my needs and it's in bad shape for something that is $300.

This case is the ultimate way to protect your expensive ice rods. Fits 8 rods easily (including my 44" rod), two slots for 3500 utility totes, and enough room on either end to fit two more. Even though this Otter case weighs 19 lbs, protecting my custom rods weighs far more. Highly recommend
