Just For Copper JFC050 1.85 Ounce Solderless Copper Bonding

This is some fantastic stuff. You can weld two pieces of copper together without heat, flame, solder, fireproof rags, and such. Sand both pieces with the sandpaper, apply the liquid, it doesn't a whole lot but some, then put them together and twist 360 within 5 secs and it's done. No leaks. It is a solid weld. I've used it in the past and it works miracles in tight spaces where u can't use flame. If you do it a few times, you will get quick and easy at it. A time saver. It's some good stuff.

This product is extremely cost-effective. It’s a huge labor savings and works really well no longer have to utilize shark bites which are expensive nor do I have to sweat anymore fittings I am so happy that I found this stuff. Thank you thank you thank you for whoever invented it.I’m

i didn't use this for any pipes that will hold pressure, and that's why i gave it a 4. i can't give it a 5, because i haven't tested it for it's intended use. i used it for an art project using copper pipe. it was easy to use, smells nice, and seems to be holding as advertised. the working time is short; push the 2 pieces together, twist and done.

Used this on a garden stake where I could not solder and it worked very well

I bought this product to use for a copper pipe trellis. I've done quite a bit of plumbing copper work in the past and always used sweated-joint, but considering I had 100+ joints for my trellis, I thought this would be a good product to try (set-up in 5 seconds and fully cured in 7 minutes). I started by not following the directions and using on un-prepared copper. The bond was not strong enough for me to move joint without disrupting my earlier work and I thought to myself...you'll have to prep each joint just as if you were to solder it. I went on to prep the joints with the supplied 60 grit sandpaper and still found that the curing time and strength are inadequate. I will sweat these joint on my trellis to ensure that my work holds-up. I would not trust pressure on this joint unless you did the work in a laboratory under ideal conditions. Everyone knows that isn't what the real-world is about. If you know how to sweat a joint, you'll be better off sticking with the solder. This product left quite a bit to be desired.

Please note, I used this product to bond copper pipe for an art project, not for plumbing, so I did not care about strict water tightness or code. For my purposes though, it worked beautifully. It bonded the copper pieces firmly, and permanently. There was no slipping after the initial set, and re positioning to get everything aligned was easy prior to the initial set. Cleanup on visible areas was a breeze too, I simply used a rag and some denatured alcohol to wipe excess after the 7 minute initial cure.If you are using copper pipe for an artistic or other off-label use, I strongly recommend this bonding agent. it is much easier than solder, and looks great.Caveat: FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS! They're there for a reason.

I saw a video on this and decided to try it.Works like a charm. No more sweating/soldering. Dries to hold 200 psi in 7 minutes.Made my project a snap.You’ll love it

I hate to leave a substandard review without using a product but I needed this material for a shower diverter/mixing valve installation where I could not solder to the valve and ordered this product a week before I was to do the install. As a back-up measure I ordered another similar product called Comstar Copper Lock; which arrived after 3 days. I had to use compression fittings and rolled copper in this application and did not like these newer ferrules that are attached to the nut so I used this material liberally after the installation and allowed 3 days to dry and then charged the system. Cannot guarantee there would have been any leaks but there were not any.I will update my review if I need this material again. It took over 10 days for me to get this product and by then the install was complete. Luckily the seller of the similar product was on their game and got it to me in time for me to use. I believe I would have had a leak in one place where my bender's hook left a small indentation. These products have a place in my tool kit.
