Conspiracy - Abyss Universe - Blue

At first I thought this game wouldn’t be fun. It was a little complicated to understand. But after watching some YouTube videos, it turns out to be simple and fun.

Conspiracy is a card game by the designers of the board game "Abyss". This game takes place in the same universe and share many things with the original game, including its incredible artwork. Conspiracy is a card drafting game where each player is trying to connect as many of the same allied lords together in order to score points.In each round the player may draw up to three lord cards from the deck. After looking at whatever cards they drew, they then add one to their senate chamber (which will eventually form an inverted pyramid). Whichever cards they looked at but did not choose, are discarded to the community supply. The next player can then choose to do the same, or they could choose to take all of the lord cards from the supply of one color. Those are then added to their own senate chamber. Each different lord card has a value noted and at the end of the game players will score their highest valued lord of each different faction. Additionally, some lord cards grant bonuses such as keys or the ability to manipulate the order of cards in your pyramid. When a player collects three of the same color key, they are able to choose a location card from the supply and that will give them additional opportunities for end game scoring.I am a big fan of the original Abyss game, and I like this one too. This is a much shorter, smaller version of the game but it still very much feels like Abyss. The artwork is the same, the "pearls as currency" is the same, the highest value lord card scoring is the same. It's all very familiar to anyone who has played the full version of the game. Where this one sets itself apart a little bit is that it's a tiny box game, meaning you can take it anywhere. This would be a great option to bring on trips or while traveling. It's an easy to understand and easy to teach card game for anyone who enjoys card drafting or set collection. And again, the artwork is some of the best of any board game I've ever played.It's not as good as the original game, but still very enjoyable for anyone who might be looking for a smaller, shorter, more compact version of Abyss.

I love this game mechanism. Each game is about 20 minutes for 3 players. Fun for 2 or 3 players. I haven't played it as a 4 player game yet. I never played the Abyss. The art work is very cool. Good game for all ages.

It is arrived in a perfect shape.

The image looks very similar to the tin box version of the game, but do note that it is the cardboard box edition (which is disappointing) and the stock of the cards in this version is worse than the stock of the cards in the tin edition.The game is fantastic, but only purchase if the above does not bother you.

For the game that comes in a small box with the average play time 20 min there is a lot of decision space. Also, it plays great with 2 players. The art is gorgeous! Don't think twice, just buy it!
