It has a very nice double zippered, padded bag that has a sturdy, comfortable handle and adjustable strap. Really is a great bag. Tongues/keys are numbered already but they do give you 2 strips of replacement numbers. Chunky rubber feet and a belly plug ( I have not tried to take it out yet.) and the key is on the belly marked with a D by the sound holes.With 2 sets of mallets, 2 sets of finger pads, and a little music book you are ready to play by yourself or with a friend. Our drum was pretty much in tune straight out of the bag.I leave it out on the ottoman and no one can resist stopping to play a bit before moving on to what they were doing. It is easy to learn ( from the book and by ear) and easy to make up your own beautiful, relaxing tunes. We never get tired of hearing it played. Very relaxing and de stressing. So glad I talked my husband into this one! Love this drum set.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I purchased this for my Son for his birthday, gave it to him early. He has had it for 3 days, he did this video with the New Steel Tongue Drum. It is the 10" Lotus with 11 Notes, it was all there, very simple to use. My Son said it is very easy to tune, and he loves the craftsmanship of the instrument. He has added it to his collection of instruments he says he will be playing often and is even Composing with this Amazing Instrument. No Complaints at all! Love it!

First of all, what I like about this drum. There are several drums that look just like this one and they are all higher in price. I think they are identical to this one so why pay more? This Drum came with a couple of extras: two sets of drumsticks which are excellent in quality and a little drum stick rest thingie, a drum case also excellent, 10 finger knobs - not- 5- as in other drums, a really nice song book and some extra number stickers. Everything seems to be of high quality.Now the things I didn't like as much. This is more of a toy than a musical instrument, but to be fair, it is a chance to have a hang drum at a reasonable price. The sound isn't big. Most of the notes sound good but it depends on where you strike them. A couple notes are flat or not as pleasant as the rest. However, there are instructions on how to tune the notes and what musical instrument does not require tuning? I would say that if you want a hang drum and can't pay for a larger size, out of all that are available this is a good buy.

I already have a smaller and cheaper version and decided to get the larger version. The good- the notes ring out much longer than the smaller version. The bad- the notes have a much more metallic 'tin can' sound to them. The smaller version definitely has a more mystical sound that you hear in videos, while there is a more of a metal 'clang' accompanying each note with this one. I've tried to retune it with no result. Plus there is no guide to what the notes should be besides the example songs. After going through all of the songs I found the 7. is not used in any so I have no clue what note it should be. Overall I'd recommend paying more to get one with a more true sound.

I love this lil drum so much it’s crazy! It’s the first instrument I’ve ever owned that no matter what I play it sounds good- really I play nothing and it sounds like something!!I have a stressful life and it’s very calming to have it on my lap at the end of the day to clear my head!I would by this for a gift for anyone from 5-95!!!

I was going to get the 12 inch but they were sold out and I got the 10 inch instead. The price is very reasonable for a steel tongue-drum of this fit and finish. Plus, the high-end drums are often custom made and take months to receive. My only complaint is that the highest note was flat; however, with adjusting it sounds better. One of the wooden mallets arrived broken but, Amazon's amazing customer service fixed that with a replacement.

I'm a musician, with a background in Piano and Voice. I bought this as a gift for my husband, but had to test it out before gifting it to make sure everything was in working order! The drum is more or less in tune - it's not perfect, but I don't think it's meant to be. I could probably fiddle with it, but my digital tuner basically says this is tuned to a D major scale, including three tones below the lower D, for a total of 11 tones. The music in the booklet is very easy to learn, and what I appreciated most is that they included the numbers above the notes. This will come in handy if you ever try to learn erhu, as they use the same system of numbers, lines, and dots for that instrument in the instruction books I have.The accessories seem fine, and nothing was broken. I'm excited to add this instrument to our collection!
