Health Bible for all women
I suffer from a myriad of gyno issues and have found this book to be invaluable. It covers all womens gyno issues from every stage of life and many holistic options to treat these issues. It's well written and easy to understand. The author (a practising gyno) in their tone throughout the book is compassionate, understanding and realistic. Lots of useful info regarding natural treatments options - as well as covering the traditional pharmaceutical ones too. There are lots of useful recipes too to help support various conditions. Glad this book was available on Amazon and I purchased, after coming across the author online. I'm sure I'll refer to it many times throughout my life

Excellent women's health advice if you want to take charge of fertility and related issues
Great book written by a knowledgeable MD, midwife and herbalist with years of experience in functional medicine. Excellent recommendations for lowering inflammation and living a healthy non-toxic lifestyle. Easy to follow and clear recommendations for supporting healing and thriving despite diagnoses such as PCOS, endometriosis, PMS and other female gynecological conditions. Targeted supplement recommendations and a number of lifestyle modifications. Also includes a nice collection of recipes if one needs inspiration and suitable for vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters. Different recommendations based on food choice. Highly recommend this one as well as all Dr Romm's books.

Not ideal for vegans and vegetarians but still recommend
This is a very good book and has transformed my energy levels after a week. BUT Dr Romm misunderstands veganism and vegetarianism. For example, her vegan meal plan includes not only eggs but salmon. Vegans of course don't eat eggs and vegetarians don't eat fish. I'd also have liked to have seen more advice for post-menopause as the book only talks about perimenopause. I still recommend it as an excellent guide to eating for optimal women's health.

Thinks genuine medical conditions are made up by big pharma.
I bought this book in the hope I might be able to find ways in which to help my PMDD. Imagine my hurt and upset when having waded through all of the tedious rhetoric at the start of the book, I find the author state that PMDD is a condition made up by pharmaceutical companies. Page 20-21 "premenstrual dysphoric disorder (pmdd) and female sexual dysfunction are two examples of pharmaceutical companies inventing new diseases to sell medications". No citation of evidence to back up this sweeping statement, just seemingly pulled out of the authors pocket of conspiracies. As someone who has battled the condition of PMDD for YEARS I'm both disappointed and angry. I can assure the author that PMDD is NOT made up, but a very real and very debilitating condition. If you're looking for help with hormone/endocrine/womens reproductive help- avoid this book at all costs.

I've been following Dr. Aviva's work for some time now and she always offers a scientific based guidance along with kindness and useful tips. This book brings all together plus practical orientations to help people create a better relationship with their bodies, and ultimately improve health. I've follow her 28 days Gut Reset plan and I've never felt so much energy and a more steady mood in my pre-menstrual phase like I felt this time. The recipes are simple and the whole family can enjoy it. I highly recommend this book!

I absolutely love this book, I purchased it on Apple Books first, after reading I decided to order the physical book as well as a copy for my mother. Aviva does a great job of explaining the the why behind symptoms, potential causes of disorders, and the how of how to fix it! This has helped me explore treatment options with my doctor, know what blood test to request, and it has helped me get diagnosed and begin to manage my PCOS. I now know what to do to make my periods far less painful, and I can use this book to reference why I might be feeling a certain way and what normal should look like. I have struggled with extremely painful periods since getting my period, it has been life-changing not to be curled up in a ball on the floor or having to take time off from work because of the pain. I truly did not believe that not being miserable on your period was normal until I followed the advice in the book and noticed after a few months my periods and the rest of my cycle were far less extreme. If you have a daughter or you struggle with your cycle, I would recommend checking this out - it provides a lot wonderful foundational knowledge, outlines what normal is versus what we’ve been told is normal (spoiler - being a raving lunatic for a week, *painful* cramps, and depression are not just part of being a woman), and helping provide realistic and sustainable changes to your life to live in harmony with your body.
