very cool little machine. Just what I was needing. So far so good. Good price and fast delivery.

A flimsy piece of garbage

This thing is super cool to use to make molds of things with. Make sure you have a strong vacuum when using, all the issues I have had have been from trying items that are too large, or a small vacuum. If you use with a full size shop vac and keep the item sized according to the directions it will create perfect molds everytime (depending on the underbite of the item)

I bought this based on a review stating the size plastic needed. As it turns out, the usable area is much less so it didn’t work out for me and will be returned.

I really like that this is a good sized (6..75 in x6.75 in) Vacuum former where you supply your own vacuum.It incudes a heater in the top, sliding magnetic mount, and a bottom metal grid box for the vacuum. I use it to make nose cones for model rockets. It works very well after I learned to let it preheat for a full 10 minutes. Note the instructions say that! Easy to assemble take apart and store. Good price. Many videos on you tube as well.

This thing is not meant to be used on objects taller than 3cm or wider than 10cm. Try to get out of these boundaries and you will end up having bad performance.Lacking temperature control means is only usable with PETG... not even PET, only PETG.I have tried using PVC, and got bad performance due to lack of uniform heating.Tried using PET, it burns it right away on the center spot.Tried using Polystyrene... it worked but the lackluster result of only heating the center part made me realize you are not going to get any decent part out of this kids toy.If you need to make thermoformings for ANYTHING productive... please look past this option.If you need to fool around, make DIY projects for fun, or do your own gifts with a "handmade" low quality style... well, this might suit your needs.Just don't use anything other than PETG and you will have a somehow acceptable result.

The machine worked great for what I needed. There is definitely a small learning curve. It includes four (4) transparent sheets for your first few attempts. I highly recommend you purchase extra sheets of the same brand. They are sized correctly and just thin enough. I tried my own 0.03” thick PET sheets, and it did not function as intended.The machine put out a lot of smoke and fumes upon first use. It was intolerable. It only happened one time.Can’t wait to make my money back when I get those new sheets, although they are a bit pricey. Almost $1 a sheet when you buy the big pack.

The bed isnt huge but if your form is the right size it works great. Heating element isn't super powerful either but for a sub $100 machine this will get you thru for quick jobs that dont require a larger bed.
