These really do work! I am retired from the pest industry where I held a senior level. There are hundreds of species of flies and they can be difficult to control. I am impressed with this product. I have one above the garbage and it draws in a few flies but the other one is under a tree and you can watch the level of trapped flies rise everyday! I do plan to order again and I would recommend this product and is a great choice vs using chemicals. So here are some tips- with flies sanitation is very important, no open garbage containers and no water around and keep windows and doors closed or screened.. I wrote up countless reports with sanitation issues and most of the issues where just plain common sense and very obvious. There can be no magic wand ever in getting rid of flies with sanitation issues. There is one fly which we always had trouble with which is a coastal and seasonal pest. The lesser house fly, this one appears in numbers in spring and in the fall. They will fly in circles in dead air space in front or doors or buildings. They are very hard to control and if you spray, they just move to one area only to return again. But they so not like any wind current which is why they like the dead air space. If you have those a simple fan seems to work and again watch the windows and doors and don't leave any fly the opportunity to come in that way. You would be surprised at the # of open doors that I have seen when the same people where complaining about flies.I would totally recommend using this product to control flies.

This thing is amazing!! We are frequent party throwers
This thing is amazing!! We are frequent party throwers. We've always had a huge problem with flies. If I could tell you the number we've cut back on I would. Incredible difference. Our friends are amazed! Our food is safer. We use our back door as a main entrance. And now we are not inviting 30 flies in as soon as we open the door. I won't say they're totally not a problem but it's nice to be able to actually enjoy our outside time now and not be embarrassed instead of wondering if someone is gonna swallow a fly or drink one down. So glad I found these.

I only wish I could buy this in bulk!
Ok, I have to start out by saying this item is equally disgusting, useful, and fascinating. Incredible for the amount of flies it's caught, I honestly didn't know we had that many! Im in the process of getting the bigger ones because these compact ones around my chicken coop, though it did a great job, isn't enough.I've had this item since May 24th, it's now June 6th and it's caught sooooo many flies! It is pretty gross smelling but efficient.Pros:Caught an incredible amount of flies for the size it it.Easy to put togetherPut it up and forget about it!Cons:-need a bulk size or one that's reusable-smellsTips: leave this someplace where you won't be downwind or three feet around it. Follow directions exactly and leave it someplace it'll get sun.Overall an excellent t product and a purchase I am extremely happy to make. I had no problems fixing the mixture up and works very well for my chicken coop.

I wore disposable gloves, the scent is great, but not on your hands!
These are small, but started working the very first day I put them up even though they said it may take a few days. I used hot tap water to start so the scent would develop sooner. All four of my traps had their first fly within 30 minutes. By day three they had at least a dozen in each one. They were easy to put together and I just hung them on a low branch of a tree in my yard. I love these!

Very reliable product!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. These traps have been in my backyard for about 3 weeks now and they are working incredibly!Pros:-Works Great-Catches tenths (perhaps hundreds) of flies in little time-Reusable (if you compost the flies, and wear gloves, you can poor them and reuse trap).-Cheap-Actually reduces the amount of flies in an areaCons:-Takes about 1 week to start working (since trap needs to start smelling)-Smell is strong (and quite disgusting)-Wind or hot days can augment the smell in a 15-20 feet perimeter-Will get chewed by night critters (I guess raccoons?) I already lost a couple. Be sure to hang in a hard to reach area for wild animals.Overall, I highly recommend this item. Despite its cons, it is still worth the money.

Traps leak- don’t trap flies!
These just don’t work! The cheapest ones from Walmart work 100 times better. I have chickens so I have flies. I can keep them under control with traps. But now they’re out of control again. Worst of all the plastic pouch is so flimsy it leaks- no one should have to get that stink on their hands!

Die, flies!!
The flies are piling up inside the trap and it is such a satisfying feeling to watch them die by the hundreds after all the torment they've put me through. If you have a fly problem, buy these. It took 3 or 4 days for the flies to get attracted, but now they can't stay away. I live in a city and the flies were a huge problem in my garden, at all outdoor get-togethers, etc. The stink of the bait was disgusting, but I really don't notice it now that the traps are hung.

Amazingly disgusting and effective
These things work well for standard flies. I have a chicken coop and there is a bit of a fly problem vis a vis chicken droppings. I'll probably keep buying the small ones as opposed to the big ones, because the pile of deal flies it creates can not possibly be altogether sanitary, and I'm assuming a smaller rotting pile of files is cleaner than a bigger one that rots for longer. Look at the picture and imagine the empty space inside the traps filled completely with flies, except more than you might imagine because the corpses collapse into each other under the weight of yet more corpses. Amazingly disgusting and effective.
