So these are all built the same. Whether you're buying one that's 20 dollars cheaper or 50 dollars more expensive they all seem to be built the same. Very sub par product.IF YOU WANT AN ACCURATE ONE, you will either have to buy one of those accurate ones from the 40s or 50s that were built with high accuracy or go to a tire shop for them to use their machines.As far as this product, if you push the top after placing it on the tip and it stops after just a few swings, that means it has too much resistance. You would need to pop out the piece that sits on the needle end and CAREFULLY drill it for a wider opening.If you look online there are tons of how to improve these balancer videos, but overall, it just seems like it will come down to 1 of 2 things:You will save up money to buy one of those vintage balancers that are built to be accurate and not just built for mass production.ORYou will find some cheap tire shop around with a dynamic balancer that they can balance your tires with.

I didn't have high expectations, but this still disappointed. If I balance a tire dead on and lift it off the spindle and re check it, it's off again. Then if I adjust the balance again and rotate it on the spindle 180⁰, again it is off balance. Maybe I got a bad spindle or maybe it's junk.Might work for trailer tires, off road/atv, or tractor tires to get it close. But small car tires will only see moderate improvement if extremely out of balance.If rating tire balance on scale 1-10, 10 being perfect dynamic balance. I was hoping this would balance a tire to a 6-8/10. But I'm getting results more like 4-6/10.
