This device is absolutely useless for security against intruders: the metal piece can be easily bent, so kicking it down is far from a challenge. However, it it very useful against room mates who don't know how to knock. I use this for my bedroom door and it has served me well, allowing me to have a wank in peace.

Does exactly what you need it to. Even if the bar from the door doesn't fit through the hole, as long as the device fits into the hole in the door frame it will work.

These are incredible. Actually do what they are intended for. An elephant isn’t getting through that door with one of these in it.

Only works on new doors. Sadly I have an old house.

Easy to use....and works

Bought this for a teenager unfortunately it doesn't fit on a standard bedroom non locking door. Fits external doors that have proper locks fitted! Why would you need it if you have a real lock?!
