Great little guitar with boom
This is going to sound crazy but I've gotta tell ya. A month before I purchased my Blueridge I had the winning bid on a 90s Taylor 812 cutaway on Ebay. I received the Taylor, with new strings. I played it and was way less than impressed...for $1900. I sent it back for a full refund. I still wanted a smaller guitar (I already had a great Taylor dreadnaught that I loved) so I began looking at Blueridge. To make a long story short. I knew I didn't want fancy so I read reviews on lower end BR and began focusing on the BR-42. I priced several places and Amazon came in lowest (and I've been very happy with their return policy). It was a no brainer.Love the little booger. Easy to play (the action came in very low), great sound and the price was way right. I saved $1400 not buying the used Taylor. No regrets.

The 000 size with 12 fret neck set is awesome.

List price was $595 on this. Laminate mahogany back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top. I have a D28 Martin that I'm in love with, but I wanted something smaller that was decent. Ended up getting this at a real good price, but frankly the list would have been acceptable. This is a fantastic value. I was stunned by the huge volume and balance. Such a light touch and how comfortable and easy it is to play. Bending a full tone is eeeeazy. It's my goto instrument now. Grab it and you can play it without hardly feeling it. What really baffles me is how people will throw down thousands of bucks for a "name brand" when they can get something like this. These Chinese companies have really got their formula down. If you're looking for a nice instrument that you can enjoy and be proud of, you don't have to go any further.

Excellent tone for the price
I'm incredibly happy with this guitar. It has great sound projection with clear distinct string tone. The sound is bright with the high tones coming through over the bass which I wanted in a guitar. I'm not a big person so the 000 size is perfect. This model packs a lot of sound in a smaller body. On top of that it's a modern style acoustic with beautiful inlay work on the head.
