Pink peppercorns have a unique flavor
I've bought this spice whenever I could afford it, in the tiny glass jars of domestic US suppliers. The taste was okay, but always seemed a little muted to me.The Viva Doria pink peppercorns are extremely fresh, with a lively flavor I haven't seen outside Brazilian restaurants here in the US. They're well packaged in a sturdy recloseable bag (I put mine, still in the bag, in a silicone bag and froze them).I used them in a lemon-cream-white wine reduction for chicken breasts. Wow, the flavor is great!

Flavorful; bright, fruity, sweet, mild & lovely peppercorn berries
After several searches, I'm glad I chose this brand as I'm happy with this flavorful purchase! This is my favorite "peppercorn" (actually they are ripened, dried, berries from Brazilian & Peruvian pepper trees.) A must have in my kitchen.+ Bright, citrusy/fruity, sweet, mild and colorful! You'll be surprised how delicate & unique in flavor these are. Not at all hot & spicy like a black peppercorn and even milder than white peppercorns.Side Note: I've seen a few reviews for several brands with buyer's complaints that the bag also contained the thin, papery hulls/shells. This is normal. These too, crush or grind up & are a part of the lovely flavor profile.

These are Fun and Delicious!
Do not expect to pop these into a pepper grinder. They are intended to be added whole to recipes as a garnish/flavor enhancer. You can, if you want, try to dehydrate/bake them into something more like peppercorns for grinding but then you miss out a little on the delicate sweetness of the outer hull. Fun purchase. May not become a staple but worth trying once for sure.
