I love this soap! It lathers and cleans extremely well and leaves a nice, light, fresh fragrance! It is also natural as opposed to those fake African black soaps with harsh chemicals that are being sold under the guise of simply being "colored" black. I would have even it given it 5 STARS, but it has these hard "rock" pieces in the mixture that are sharp and can really hurt. I've scratched myself several times using this soap. I try to take those pieces out, but sometimes, they are just too embedded within the soap, and it's to no avail. The price has gone up a little, but if the manufactures could just strain it to take those "rocks" out, it's worth it. It may not be for everyone, so I would recommend buying a smaller size first. If you do decide to buy the larger size, you will need to cut it up into small, bath-sized bars and store in a large zip-lock bag out of the heat, sunlight, and extreme moisture. Happy shopping!

Shipped to me underweight. Replaced with another underweight block. Buyer beware! Also, this is an excellent soap base for making your own liquid or bar soaps. It is versatile, but you must add moisturizing ingredients. This soap is well known for drying out skin on its own. Happy Shopping!

I ordered a smaller amount the first time and just loved it, this time I ordered the 5 pounder .....boy that sucker was big....anyway I cut it up into 14 nice thick hand bar sizes which should last a while.....this soap gets thick suds in the hard water that we use......boy talk about feeling clean after a shower this is the best....I had 2 small areas that had eczema that was cleared up by using this soap.....
