I'm not sure it's a good idea to fit these onto a Friis. For me, I make my own containers with these valves. I cut a hole in the center of a decent metal lid that has a good seal to its jar or container. Then I adhere the valve to the lid using the proper glue for the materials I'm using. I also use these valves on bags! They are the same type of valve that coffee makers put on their fresh coffee bags to keep new air out and evenly disperse and regulate internal air and pressure.

Q: How can I apply a valve to coffee Mylar bag?

haven't tried them yet. bought them to use on ridged containers and food saver system.

Q: How well does the valve stop humidity? I want to store some hydroscopic material and use the valve to suck the air in the container with a pump.

The valve itself is not meant to help regulate humidity, but to allow air to expel from a stored material without allowing new air in. When I'm using these to store fresh herbs in glass jars I use a vacuum to remove as much of the air inside the jar as I can before storing it away long term. This does not need to be done in most cases, though. If these valves are installed properly, air will leave your container and new air will be blocked from entering. If moisture is an issue inside of the container or bag you are using, then internal humidity levels can still be a problem. So, it's a good idea to be sure the product you are trying to protect is at a moisture level desirable to store whatever it is you are trying to store or keep fresh. Another option is to use humidity pouches inside your container or bag to help with this particular concern.
