Samsonite Luggage Hyperspace Spinner 26 Expandable Suitcase, Ion Pink, 26

This is an incredibly well crafted and attractive suitcase. It is the perfect size: I found out later that European flights support the 26" as the maximum size, so I was glad I ordered this instead of the 30". It is very ample. The expansion zipper (the red one in the pictures) allows you to fit your purchases along the way. The wheels are substantial and really work. The inside is thoughtfully designed, and included a plastic-covered pouch inside the "lid" of the suitcase that was really helped to organize the small stuff you need but usually can't find. I don't know if there is much size loss due to the tapered top, but I really liked the design over the older, boxy design. Also, I didn't have any problems with the bag tipping over. I packed and unpacked for 2 weeks, pulled the bag over all kinds of terrain, and it did well on a big tour bus (they actually told us not to bring the hard sided ones!). It also was light -- actually much lighter than I expected. As you can tell, I am very pleased with my purchase and am grateful to the Amazoners who recommended it.

I really like this piece of luggage. When I got it I told my husband to look how nice it is because after using it one time on an airplane trip it will never look this good. I was pleasantly surprised that even after the airlines handled it, it looks as good as new! Very durable. I love the spinning wheels; it makes the luggage easier to handle. My four year old grandson was able to "carry it" [push] to the car! Very roomy. I liked that I only had to take one suitcase instead of the two I usually had to take.

I bought this luggage based on good reviews for a 3-week trip to Europe. Unfortunately, on the second day the zipper pull broke and made this pretty impossible to open. I then had to spend the next 3 weeks struggling to open the suitcase.I contacted Amazon and was told the return period was over, however they were willing to send a return label and refund my money. This is actually what I would expect so I am happy to report it as my experience. My one complaint, though, is that I don't have a box large enough for the return and Amazon wasn't able to help with this. Moral is not to order luggage or large items off Amazon, or have a large enough space to hang on to boxes (which I don't in my Chicago apt).

Does all that is claimed for this excellent product. I have used it on just one transatlantic trip so far but it performed excellently. It has all the features you need in a checked bag that when fully loaded stayed within the 50 lb weight limitation of most airlines. I'm sure we could have got more in with its expansion feature but that wasn't necessary.This suitcase rolls effortlessly - in fact it is somewhat of a hazard for crashing into things if you lose control of it, particularly on sloping ramps in airports. The handle seems a little flimsy but extended and retracted reliably on this first trip.My only complaint is that some aspects of the design seem to be more for improving the appearance than for any practical advantage so a more boxy appearance would have allowed more volume for packing. The teal color is attractive but it does stand out on the carousel with an expensive look, both an advantage in identifying your bag but also a possible disadvantage if anybody is looking to steal your bag.

It was more money that I'd like to pay, but I needed this size for a long trip. It roughly matches other Samsonite 4 wheel pieces I have. The contruction is very sturdy yet very light. The wheels seem like they're going to hold up, as will the handle. The two pockets on the outside (instead of one on many suitcases on the market) are very convenient. Zippers work smoothly and have the "self healing" design so that when two of the teeth get out of alignment they fix themselves when you zip back and forth a couple times.

Good case, but it doesn't have a separate compartment for hanging garments, like suits. Instead, it's all just one deep box. I just assumed it would have a suit space, and I threw away the packaging before realizing it was missing. Now I can't return it. Bummer.

I am a long time Samsonite customer, and this unit has all of the latest features... 4 spinning wheels, metal handle, light weight, ample storage pockets, etc. the only issue, is that I found a samsonite 28" spinner packaged with a 22" spinner for the same price.

I love this suitcase - and I haven't even used it yet. But my mother took it with her to Dallas and it worked great. I do know it was easy to maneuver, stayed upright and stood out among the sea of black on the baggage carousel. But the color is smart and sophisticated, not juvenile or flashy. Overall, a great piece of luggage. I'm looking forward to using it myself on a 2-week trip to Paris next month.
