Compound leverage pliers and one hand operation worked great. Unfortunately when I dropped the tool
Arrived without tweezers and toothpick. Two emails to SOG in the past 60 days requesting tweezers and a toothpick have been unanswered.During my latest camping trip I had to stop and crawl under my trailer to wire up some stuff. Compound leverage pliers and one hand operation worked great. Unfortunately when I dropped the tool, from a height of about 18 inches the left handle cracked. Dutifully retrieved the tool and crawled under the trailer to wire up the other side. Again dropped the tool and cracked the other handle. At this point, given other reviews, I'm not even sure why SOG bothered with such cheap handles. Others apparently had their handles break during shipment. I at least had intact handles until the first time I used the tool.Locking screwdrivers are a great concept, but you nearly break you finger trying to unlock them. A real pain-in-the-rear, especially when you need to switch back and forth from Phillips to Regular screwdrivers on the same job. Before this purchase I always used a Leatherman. Never had an issue, but was intrigued by the compound leverage of the SOG pliers. The compound leverage pliers works well, unfortunately the rest of the tool leave quite a bit to be desired. I've already discouraged one friend from making the same mistake as me, and am writing this review to let you know that there are better tools out there to buy. Just not this one.

Nicely built but large
I always carry a small multi-tool in my pocket and am on the look for the next greatest one. I've always liked the way the SOG opens with it's little cog wheels (same as a previous SOG I owned 15 years past). This particular SOG is a little large, too big and heavy for daily use in casual work pants pockets. Closed it's 3/4 inch longer then a Leatherman Wingman, it's the same length as a the Victorinox Hercules (4 1/2 inches) but twice as wide. It has full size pliers and a heavy 3 inch lockable blade. The small tools also lock when open but their release (different than for the knife blade) is really stiff, difficult to move.I'm no knife expert but overall I'm pleased, it seems to be a quality, heavy duty tool. Just a little bigger than I thought it would be (the risk of buying on the internet - sometimes the size is difficult to visualize).

Mostly very nice, let down by poor execution of unnecessary features
I have been carrying SOG knives almost every day for almost 25 years. I have been very tempted by several of their multitools over the years, but this was the first irresistible one. Sadly, an otherwise outstanding value was rendered intolerable by inexcusably poor execution of an unnecessary but nice to have feature. I speak of the tweezers, which were a very minor selling point, but one I was looking forward to making occasional use of. Understandably, the tweezers were a bit on the flimsy side. What I could not understand was how the two sides could be so badly misaligned as to overlap by slightly less than half, which made them useless and very hard to insert or remove. The toothpick: not much better. Everything else: every bit as well made as I would expect from SOG at this price point. If you have no intention of ever removing, let alone using the tweezers, than you may be very happy with the PowerDuo. If they had no tweezers, I would have been pretty happy with the PowerDuo.

Awesome tool
Good intuition by SOG by creating an ' actual ' pocket knife with good pliers; it even has the SOG leverage system... All tools lock and are accessible from the outside...some of the tools are a bit loose but can be tightened easily, the Spyderco style one handed opening plain edge blade is cool but could come a fair amount sharper, as well as having the toothpick and tweezers. Because of the loose tools and dull blade I took off a star otherwise this is a really cool Multitool/pocket knife.

I love the idea
I love the idea. It just isn't as tough as I was hoping it would be. I work in an industrial environment and my multi tool goes through some rigorous paces. I cut steel banding, loosen and tighten nuts, bolts and screws, and a myriad of other things. I thought cool, SOG is tough, right? Not as tough as my Swiss Army Tool, but yeah, for light duty things, it gets the job done.

Disappointed
1st off this thing is big. you put it on your belt you'd think you were caring a gun.The screwdriver tips are a PIA to close back up with the little button provided. The pliers are nice (more of an needle nose type) but that said you should be wearing gloves because the handle is tuff onyour fingers when applying any pressure. also there's allot of rough edges on the outside of this thing. I know it's a tool but it's not very hand friendly. I'm disappointed because I like most of SOG's stuff. I decided to keep it just because returns can be a pain. I'll probably wind up giving it as a gift or just throwing it in the glove box & forgetting about it.

Great multi-tool knife but the case is low quality
I think the multi-tool is great! It has everything I have been looking for. It doesn't have any of the issues people complained about in previous reviews. My only complaint is the case is too big. I don't know why the case is much larger than the tool.

Like all SOG it's a great multitool
Like all SOG it's a great multitool. I only wish it had a belt clip. I bet they will throw one on for free, or a small fee, if I stop by their Mt Lake Terrace store. :)

Very poor quality - SOG should hang their head in shame !
Being the owner of two other sog power assist tools I expected this to be the same high quality, but I was wrong . After a long wait due to an amazon mistake my sog tool finally arrived - upon opening the sealed box I was very dissapointed . Both handles (scales ?) Were cracked in many places . One was cracked completely across . The lock on the three smaller tools allows the tools to wobble . The fold out metal handle on the pliers has plain edges and digs into your hand . I see from the box that the tool is made in china , however I believe the blame lies fully with sog - they put their name to the item and must be fully aware of the issues . I see that this broken scale problem is well documented yet sog appear to do nothing . I paid a much lower price than the price it is currently selling for and am not happy ,no way is it worth £60 + .I will not be returning mine due to the epic I had getting it here, I will simply make new handles myself (but I shouldn't have to). Would be nice if sog offered replacement handles to all who had purchased this tool ( I may contact them but don't hold out much hope). This is my first ever review but I felt others need to be aware of possible problems

Fantastic tool better than a leatherman so far, would be improved by removing or redesigning the plastic scales
