Little Book of Calm

Swallowed by accident. Would recommend.

As with other reviewers here, I purchased this because of an inside joke with my girlfriend about Black Books. It comes chock-full of tips to help you stay calm. My favorite tip is to "Rediscover Milk". I bought this as a joke but there are actually some useful tips in this little book. Just make sure you have a lot of milk and lavender.

God bless Manny and the British sitcom "Black Books." WONDERFUL!

I was very happy to find this for a family member who loves the reference in the BBC show Black Books. It was a surprise gift for no particular occasion. He loved it!

I met Bill Bailey in Cornwall and read the book to him over pints of Rattled. He shook my hand and said he was bloody glad to have fun into me.

Another Black Books fan here. This is cute, and when I see it, I think of Manny and smile.

Had to laugh when I got this book. The first thing I said was, "They weren't kidding about the LITTLE book of calm."I suppose I was thinking I was getting a book bigger than 8.5 x 9.5 cm.That aside, it's a good book to keep on your desk top (or anywhere you can stash a tiny book for that matter) so that you can thumb open to a random page and remind yourself of something you've forgotten - such as "Love the Moment" and "Sell your wristwatch" with a nice paragraph explaining your cleansing thought you'll elaborate in your mind as you shut the book and start to chill out. Dig it. Glad I got it.

Living in Missoula a person needs a Little Book of Calm. Missoula is run by fools and corruption. Thank God the mountains and perfect solitude are only ten minute walk away. Oh, and if you like this, you're likely already a fan of Black Books.

I bought this as a reference to the show Black Books as I had bought my fiance tickets to see Bill Bailey this year and wanted a fun way to reveal it! He loved it. I flicked through and had a little giggle too. Lovely little book.

Bought as a semi-joke present for a friend. Not as little as I expected. You aren't going to accidentally choke on it because it fell into your soup.

Bought because of black books but turns out the friend I got it for was ridiculously stressed out and needed something to help calm him down

I suffer from extreme anxiety amongst other mental health issues and I really like this book, I love how it's small enough to fit into pags and pockets and the content is nice and not too overpowering (like some other books I've tried in the past).

Although having this book will enhance your living no end. It was delivered the morning after I had ordered it in amazing condition.Whether you just watch Black Books or you really do need something to bring you down to normal after a stressful day, this is the book for you.Also don't worry, it's not so small that it would be considered to be a choking hazard.

Great book to help achieve calm. A very quick read. Not in-depth self-help but quotes to ponder over. I am pleased with my purchase and would buy again.

A useful little reminder for yourself - keep it in your bag for moments when you need a little help. Also makes a thoughtful present for someone experiencing stress, anxiety or depression.

Very good. Bought for a colleague who was a bit stressed and it always raises a smile when you feel like throwing your computer / phone / client out of the window.

Book was bought to go into our daughters "hen night" bag of bits. Book arrived as advertised which is always appreciated, particularly for moments such as these. The book was a appreciated by her and whose to say that some of the advice inside won't come in handy in the future.
