CASA SANCHEZ Thin Tortilla Chips, 14 OZ

These are my go-to pre-bagged tortilla chips. They are thick and sturdy for guacamole, hummus and other dips. They stay super-fresh in the pantry too.

What more is there to say…Casa Sanchez Chips are the best. Made from fried cut corn tortillas, not from a formed corn mush like literally all other chips. These were widely available while I lived in the S.F. Bay Area. My preference is actually for their “thick & crispy” but they’re not available on Amazon. Moved to Hilo Hawaii and the local store carries the excellent Casa Sanchez Salsa but not their chips. So Amazon…the order arrived even way out here timely and better yet, very well packaged for shipping so there were very few crushed chips, much less than one would typically find at the grocery store.

Crunchy and salty, exactly what you would expect! Great value and taste.

It looks good at this price, but I found it to be disappointing after purchase. The chips aren't really "thin and crisp" but rather thick and just crunchy. Taste was mostly bland and could use a touch more salt. They're not terrible for sure, but definitely not what I wanted. The clear plastic bag is problematic as well, as it is less likely to retain freshness.

These chips are the closest you are going to get to a high quality tortilla chip, anywhere. Price ranges from a low of $3.99 to a high of $4.99. They aren't over salted either. Add their "Hot Salsa Roja" and your taste buds will thank you.

I ordered these with the great reviews and I opened them up, ate one chip, and it was stale. I looked at the expiration date, and it was April. It's currently September. This is disgusting and unacceptable.
