Keeps someone in a wheel chair from sliding forward.
Great product, well designed and sturdy, the pommel is tall enough to hold your family member or friend back in the seat section of the wheelchair. Worth the money, cheaper models of this cushion do not work properly.

This is not waterproof!!!!!
The description says it’s waterproof, which was a huge selling point, however it is not!!!!! This isnt ANYTHING proof! If anything liquid gets on it, including water, it goes through the cover and gets soaked up by the foam with no way to clean it. To all the caregivers that are considering buying this, keep this in mind if your loved one/patient is incontinent or spills things frequently. due to the item not being waterproof, once something is spilled on it, wether it be water, juice, urine, soda or any form of liquid, the cushion will be full of odor, bacteria and be extremely unsanitary because due to it NO BEING WATERPROOF any liquid spilled on it, goes through the cover and soaks deep into the foam cushion with no way to clean or wash it.
