OK, This collar WORKS on my hard-headed Australian Blue Heeler/shepard mix. The range is incredible. I made my wife walk down the road until she was just a tiny spot in the distance. Then I shocked her. (Just Kidding, Relax!) I didn't shock her, but vibrated the collar she held in her hand. I could no longer see her hand raise when she felt it vibrate and when she went WAY over the hill. What I am trying to put across is that the range on this is more than you would really imagine it would be. NOW, that said, I have to caution you to be very very VERY careful about the shock feature. It is powerful. I traumatized my dog the first day because I didn't realize that when you turn up the volume on the beep and vibrate functions, that you also turn up the intensity of the shock. It took my little guy two days to not fear the collar. It was my fault. Public apology: I'm sorry, Skipper... OK, now I will say that I am surprised at the battery life. It works with my Amazon rechargeable batteries. It has worked for 5 days, night and day without having to charge them so far. THE MAIN point to make now, does it work? It works like a charm. I never have to shock my dog now. The worst I have to use is the vibrate function. Use lots of rewards in associating the beep tone with pleasure and "Come". I use "vibrate" to correct. Skipper no longer goes off "On a tear" after other animals and if he even looks like he will disobey, just a quick vibrate brings his attention back to me. The build quality looks durable. I will give it a gig for the quality of the strap. I had to glue it after the second day, no biggie.. Hope this helps.OK, I have more to add to this review. After having had this for 5 months, I have found this collar has defects. The problem (and the only dissatisfaction I have with it) is this:. The prongs that stick out from the collar are screwed into plastic. They get loose and the prongs get lost and then the collar gets lost. I have no lost the collar. BIG bummer.... The prongs hold the box to the collar, and the plastic washer which holds the collar to the box crack. The prongs wind up loose and the collar gets lost. I would not purchase this collar again not because it didn't work marvelously, but because you are lucky to keep it for long..

This is working very, very well for our dog. We usually only have to use the sound in order to change an unwanted behavior. He is very responsive toward training with this.We adopted a 51 lb. 6 month old puppy from a kill shelter. He seems to be a shephard/rottweiler mix, but he is such a beautifully well behaved and gentle soul! There are, of course, some behaviors that we are working on. Him going after the cat and trying to eat off the counters while I'm preparing meals are the biggest problems to date.This training collar seems to be working really well for him!

This works great. I've tried a number of different collars that would beep and/or vibrate when my dog barks, but they didn't really work very well. I mostly only have to put the collar on, to keep her from constantly barking at every little noise or neighbor outside now. When she has the collar on, she knows that she shouldn't be barking at anything and everything. It's great for when I'm busy inside and I can hit the vibrate button, which will usually quiet her down, sometimes I have to hit it twice before she stops, and once in a while I have to hit the shock button, but that's pretty rare now. She knows the sequence of the vibrations, so I don't have to use the shock very often. It's great for when I can't stop what I'm doing to go outside to tell her to stop barking, or bring her back inside. She's gotten better about her barking, even without the collar on. Great product for training or for those of us who have dogs that just like to bark alot. I don't use it for discipline, other than the barking, though I can see where it would be good for walking or hiking to train a dog to keep at your side, etc.

My husband and I love this collar and remote trainer. We have a 6 month old German Shepherd puppy and a 5 year old Miniature Schnauzer. We've had a problem with a neighbor walking his dog along our fence line. The dogs would charge towards the fence barking and growling. We've only had to use a mild shock correction twice to stop this behavior. Now they bark a few times to let us know he's there, run to about 2 feet from the fence and watch him quietly, which is the exact behavior we wanted. Also had a problem with the Schnauzer jumping up on people and getting overly excited when we've had company. Couldn't seem to get him to calm down and stop. It was so embarrassing. With a few vibration corrections that poor behavior has stopped. He now obeys his sit/stay command and waits to be petted by our guests. Same thing worked on stopping the German Shepherd puppy from digging in our yard. After a few mild vibrations, he has decided he doesn't like to play in the dirt anymore. The best part of these corrections is that the dogs don't realize we did it. We stopped yelling at them when they were at the fence barking or digging in the yard. Instead, from a window where they didn't see us, we gave the correction. They just know that certain behaviors don't feel good. So far we haven't needed to use the collar and remote for training commands such as sit, stay, come, heal, etc. We've been fortunate that both dogs have done that training with praise and treats. But the collar and remote have been great for us to stop unwanted behavior of aggressive barking, digging and jumping on people. We only used the shock correction for the barking at the neighbor, as both dogs were becoming more and more aggressive towards this man. My husband and I tested the degree of shock on our arms before using it on the dogs. We wanted to make sure it was safe and wouldn't hurt them. We ended up using much less of a schock than we were willing to tolerate ourselves. This collar and remote trainer was a very quick, effective and humane way to stop unwanted behavior of our guys.
