One of the issues with having an iphone is that Apple has not made an easy way for iphones to charge wirelessly the way other phone sellers have. When I saw that a wireless charging receiver patch was available for my iphone 5s (which works with this patch for the 6s) that would allow me to use a qi wireless charger for my iphone, the way I do for my sony phone, I won't lie --- I was pretty excited. When I was offered the wireless charging receiver at a discounted price in exchange for my unbiased and honest review, I was even more excited. When I got it within two days because I could buy it through Amazon Prime, it was just the icing on the cake.Overall, this is a pretty neat little gadget. You stick the receiver on to the back of the phone and plug the lightning ribbon into the bottom of the phone (where you would place a charger) and it will connect to a wireless charger (to be purchased separately). You don't even have to pair them! The entire process is plug in the wireless receiver, line up the phone on the charger and let it charge! It could not be easier!With all of that said, there is a potential issue with having a wireless charger on an iphone: the case. Iphones have not yet been set up to support wireless charging. Due to this, most iphone cases I have encountered are super slim, for those that want the phone to remain small and aesthetically pleasing or the phone cases are super huge otterbox style cases to protect these very expensive investments. With my phone, I have a super slim case. Because of this, if I want to use a non-wireless charger, I have to unplug the wireless receiver and let the ribbon dangle because there is no place for it to go otherwise. This could be a problem with a teenager or someone who is less than careful with his or her phone. Another potential issue I see is that if I went the opposite route with my phone, putting it in a larger case such as an otterbox, the receiver may have difficulty charging the phone through the many layers of protection. The ribbon does cover the lightning port, though, which is a great lint preventative!With all that said, I do think the wireless receiver is worth the cost. For me, I don't use other methods of charging nearly as much now that I have this and it's much easier to have a few wireless chargers laying around various points in the house than to try to carry cables and usb chargers. This has made it easier for me to have multiple phones in a house with both iphones and androids.

Qi technology is finally here filling a need for less cords and over use of the charging connection port on your phone. In the past, I have worn out the connection port trying to keep my phone with any level of charge. I use my iPhone for everything from music to games, home and work emails, etc. This easy to use receiver patch allows me to charge my phone by simply laying it down on any Qi charging plate anywhere. Charging speeds are reasonable but not as high of speed as if you plugged it in. All the same, if you have a Qi charger in places where your phone sits idle (desk, nightstand, counter) then why not charge it while it is lying around. Installation is simple and easy. I do suggest to place the receiver on the back lower than the center of your phone so that you can give enough space near the plug in for removal in case you need to plug anything else in the port (flash drive, charging cord in the car, sound docking stations). The convenience is amazing and I wonder now what I did without it all these years.I did purchase this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. This QI wireless charging receiver patch has worked well for me so far. It was easy to install and worked seamlessly straight out of the box. It fits under a case well, and you can't even tell it's there for the most part. You do have to wiggle your phone a bit over your wireless charger to find the best position for successful charging, but I assume that's the case with any phone that you are attempting to charge wirelessly. I did find that my phone charged a little more slowly with this receiver than while using a traditional charging cable, but I have not received any error messages while attempting to charge my phone. My only complaint is that you would really need to have several wireless chargers placed strategically throughout your daily life in order to benefit from the wireless charging capability. Once you've placed this receiver on your phone, you would have to remove your entire case in order to remove it from your lightning port and use a normal lightning cable for charging. So while this receiver is great in theory, I find it difficult and cumbersome to use on a daily basis. Still, it does exactly as promised, so I feel that it's a quality item and I would feel comfortable recommending it to others looking for a way to charge their iPhone wirelessly.I purchased this item at a promotional discount for evaluation purposes.
