Was not my first choice, but very happy with it
I was trying to purchase another patch panel of the same type I had used previously in my structured cable panel. Either because of supply chain issues, or some other reason I could not order from Amazon or directly from that manufacturer. I started doing research on alternatives. This TRENDnet patch panel seemed to be popular, but it doesn't fit the quick attachment points in my panel. I decided to give it a try and just mount it with sheet metal screws to the back of the panel. I was surprised at how much better I liked this panel over the previous panel. The punch down terminals on this are high quality, and made it a much quicker install with connections that tested out on the first try. Very happy with this patch panel!

Compared to competition, overpriced
There's very little difference between this brand-name and other less-known offerings. I've used both, and in the future will purchase the competition.

Is what it says it is
Used this to wire up my home with ethernet. Mounted in a closet. Made my wireless mesh 10x faster throughout the house.

I worked in communications for 33 years. Same quality as I was used to.
Flip patch panel, underside up, in mounting bracket for lay down process , easy DIY with correct punch down tool. Flip patch panel over and press into mount bracket when done. You can do it!

Great Patch Panel
This is a well made unit. The backing frame has mounting slots at each end, and also pre-drilled holes, so it provides flexible mounting options. The mounting frame is deep enough to allow plenty of room for incoming Cat 6 cables. The T568A and T568B markers are not perhaps the easiest to understand but can be figured ok if you are familiar with RJ45 wiring, and not enough for me to downgrade this. As an aside, remember that the bend radius of Cat 6 cables is greater than that of Cat 5, because of the plastic spine, and you might want to do a mock up to ensure everything will fit in place.
