Great balance bike for 3-4 year olds. Rubber tires!
Our oldest child didn't use a balance bike, instead he had training wheels on a small bike and then again on a larger bike. It was utter agony teaching him to ride without the training wheels when he was 6 years old. Lots of tears and frustration for both him and us. So his younger sister was given a wood balance bike when she was 2 1/2. It was too big for her at the time, and before she grew into it, her brother was playing around on it and his weight broke the axel.So. We finally got around to getting another bike for her, and purchased this Schwinn. She is now a little over 4 1/2, average height for her age, which makes her too tall for many of the balance bikes out there--we went to a physical store and had her try out a few. However, the Schwinn is a great fit. We don't anticipate that she'll ride it for long; probably just 3-4 months, and then she'll be ready to ride (training wheel free!) a small pedal bike. Here's what I like about the Schwinn: adjustable seat and handle bars, which we raised since she's no longer a toddler. Rubber, inflatable tires, like a real bike! I was surprised in the store to see that the Strider bikes they had included plastic wheels. Not sure if all Striders are that way, but I think the rubber makes for comfier ride and is obviously more like a 'real' bike. Sturdy frame in a cute color, and cost less than Strider and other brands we looked at. And most importantly, she loves it: was very comfortable hopping on and giving it a try.We purchased this from Amazon Warehouse, and bike was in perfect condition when it arrived.

Love the Foot Rest, but Mine Came with a Leaky Rear Wheel
This Schwinn 12-ince Pink Balance Bike is Cute - with capital C! Easy to assemble, less than 10 minutes with a couple of wrenches and didn't even have to look at instructions. The rear tire leaked on first day with 20 minutes of very light use riding inside the house on hardwood floors, but this is only about $10 to fix at any local shop. I don't know if the leaks are common or I just drew the short straw, but again it's about $10 to fix and it'll take less than 5 minutes if the store isn't too busy.Best feature II love is it has a foot rest. My son had a Kinder Bike, and he wore it out. It worked great for its purpose, but he always had to dangle his feet after gaining enough momentum. I always felt that a foot rest would be cool and this one does have it.Couple of things that may affect some parents. 1) This bike is pretty heavy, especially for a Toddler/Preschooler. 2) There isn't any brakes like they have on a Kinder Bike but my son never used the brakes so this feature is irrelevant to me but it may be an issue with some parents.Update: It's been almost 2 years and this bike has held up well. I took the bike to local shop and it cost me $15- still worth it. Also, I emailed Schwinn and they sent me an extra tube. Anyway, this was my second experience with these "pedal-less" bikes and again the results do not disappoint. When they grew big enough and was ready, both my children transitioned from these bikes to regular bikes without training wheels in a matter of minutes. The biggest issue after they learned to use the regular bikes is turning the bike around. It's like waking and chewing gum for them, but once they get used to it then it's all downhill (pun intended).BTW other than a little dust because my little girl has stopped using this, the bike looks almost out of the box new.

Excelente para niñ@s principiantes
Increíble. Mi niña de 2.5 años aprendió el equilibrio en una semana y sin usarla todos los días. Creo que pronto estará lista para disfrutar su bici con pedales. Muy resistente y me encanto el color
