Must have if you cook a lot of Italian dishes. Hubby is Italian American, so I make Italian dishes at least three times a week, whole peeled tomatoes is one of the things running low pretty fast in my family.San Marzano is the best of all canned tomatoes, even says on the cookbook written by famous Italian American chef.

The only tomatoes I use, and have used, for years. Do not be fooled by other brands that are "San Marzano style". They are not the real thing. These are! Yes, they cost more than non-San Marzano, but this is a good price on Amazon. Don't cheap out! Fortunately, I've never gotten a dented can. And please, don't add sugar to your tomato sauce. Add a bit of butter! And don't overcook! You don't need to simmer for hours.

Cento products are first class, but there packing methods need improving. Dented cans.

The tomatoes themselves were wonderful, excellent texture and taste. However, the first can I opened, out of the case I ordered, contained a large leaf. I am fairly sure it was a tomato leaf.
