Awesome starter camera for a 4-8 yr old
I got this for my 5 yr old. I like the instaprint cameras and the kodaks, but they are so expensive and the film is so expensive. I was neither comfortable, nor could I afford giving that to my 5 year old to possibly break. This camera functions with thermal printing. It comes with plenty of paper/rolls and is SUPER easy to use, even for a kid. It also takes a good beating as my kid has dropped it multiple times and it works just fine. The pictures are black and white and actually come out pretty good (if the person does not move). It has the screen in the back and shows the picture. You can do little filters too, kind of like the photo booth ones. Though the pictures are not the best quality (the paper is not high quality picture paper, obviously), for a 5 year old it was great. She took SOOOOO many pictures and printed them. And had them taped all over. For the price and the ease, it is a great camera for a 5 year old and you do not have to worry about breaking the bank with all the pictures they take. It has been great for family gatherings too because she could go up to someone and take a picture of them and it prints instantly. I recommend this as a starter camera for 4-8 yr olds and definitely worth it.

Perfect for a 3 year old
I spent admittedly far too much time researching cameras for a 3 year old. After doing so, I'm very happy with my purchase. Many cameras targeted at this age group involve either (1) tiny pictures, or (2) expensive film. These images are reasonable size. The image quality for this camera using stock settings is mediocre, but you can go into settings and change the image quality, and it becomes much improved. It's still not going to blow you away, but it's perfect for a 3 year old who will be snapping 50 photos/minute.On that note, I'm very glad I went with a camera that prints on paper rolls, as opposed to film that some other cameras use. A young child will be firing off as many photos as they can, so that would get very expensive quickly with film. These paper rolls are perfect in that regard. The camera is certainly not a 5-star camera in the grand scheme of things, but it's 5-stars for a young child. Decent quality images, fast printing, and inexpensive. Would highly recommend.

It is worth the money!
If u have ever been to chuck e cheese and took the photo in the little ride on car this is exactly what it's like.i agree with others that when you first turn it on the pics are bad but after it heats up for a few minutes they turn out decent.it resembles a roll of receipt paper and the photos print instantly.for the price and how cheap the paper is and the ease of working it I believe it's a great gift and it's worth it. I got my older daughter the Kodak printomatic and boy that paper is expensive.this is great for a novelty item and a beginner. No ink so it never runs out.

Great fun for the little ones!
The Instant Fun Camera is very aptly named, for it truly is instant fun. We bought this camera as a gift for our 5 year old son and he was absolutely thrilled at the sight of it, and has been using it for many months since receiving it with lasting enthusiasm. The digital pictures it captures are of decent quality should you want to print any of the pictures from a full color printer at higher resolution than the camera prints out. The printer on the camera itself is a thermal printer, like those that print receipts, so it is a grey scale image with image quality that you can expect from that type of printing. The kids love it, and will blow through an entire roll of the paper if left to their own devices, and I can't blame them... it's great fun seeing the pictures magically pop out of the front, and they just can't get enough of it. That brings me to what is perhaps the one thing I would change about this camera; the default setting of the printer is "ON" each time the camera is turned on. It must be manually turned to "OFF" each and every time the camera is powered on if you want to take pictures digitally only without printing every picture as they are taken, allowing you to later choose which to print. There is no way to change this setting's default upon powering up the camera, so it leads to a lot more printed pictures than parents might want. But the kids don't seem to mind that one bit. They enjoy using the printed images to color and make notes and use in crafts, and at the end of the day I love that it keeps them being creative and having (Instant) FUN!!

Fun and Easy to use!
My 4 year old loves my Polaroid camera but those and the refill pictures are quite spendy. So I thought this would be a fun alternative and he loves it!! The paper is almost like receipt paper which is fine because he is 4 and doesn't take very good care of pictures anyway. The picture quality isn't amazing which is also fine, he just loves that it immediately prints. The paper is real cheap to replace which is awesome! Also cool that it comes with colored pencils and stickers to decorate his pictures. I also got the camera case that is recommended which is awesome to store all the stuff it came with and the extra rolls of paper along with keeping the camera safe while he isn't using it. I would recommend this!

My little girl LOVES this cute little camera!
Cute little camera! I wanted something that my 4 year old could use easily by herself and that would keep her attention. (Even though my 7 year old and 11 year old want one as well!)Instead of looking at a picture on a screen or waiting to hook it up to a printer, this is something that’s immediate and she can share with her brother and sister and friends. She can make little gifts from it and color on the pictures. She gifts them to our family or adds little notes to the gifts she gives. The options of frames and picture or coloring pages make it much for useful besides just being a camera. It comes with a carrying cord so she can take with it wherever but also keeps it safe on her so she doesn’t drop it. Included with the camera is extra paper she can load herself, markers to color with, lots of stickers and more! It’s like her own little scrapbook set. She absolutely loves it and the price is great! Plan on gifting this in the future to our friends and family with kids!
