A good book
I am new to astronomy and wanted a good starter book of the moon and craters. This book filled the bill. It was a good informative book. The info in this book was an easy read and has a very good illustraion of the moon and craters with names of them. I take it with me and use it while I learn the craters. For the newbe you cant go wrong, and I feel anyone can get good info. From this book.

Great Introduction!
As a lifelong observer of the Moon I found this guide to be accurate, topical, well written and nicely illustrated. It is a challenge to provide good lunar maps and images in a small format book. The author and publisher did an excellent job. I was very impressed with the book’s Introduction and the easy to read lunar maps and accompanied images, which were all taken at the same angle of solar illumination. This little book could also serve as an introductory atlas to the Moon. It is also small enough to use at the telescope. There is extensive (for a book of this size) discussion of lunar photography using smart phone (digiscoping) and DSLR cameras with advice on image processing. All in all this is a fun read. Of the many books on astronomy published each year there are very few books about the Moon. I would have jumped over the Moon for a book like this when, as a grade schooler, I saw the Moon through my first telescope! I suggest you purchase a copy for yourself and one for a budding amateur astronomer, either young or old.

This book might be small for some people but for me, it’s perfect size to read, to bring, fits my bags. Lots of informations in it. Lots of pics in it. Well organized contents!

Yes, there are better, bigger and by far more expensive books out there. Yes, if you look on forums they'll probably advise well established big tomes. But I just started with astronomy and was looking for a book that would introduce me to lunar observing without making things too complicated. This one is well written, won't cost you an arm and a leg and the information offered can keep you busy for a long time, before you'll longer for a deeper approach. I like the format, there're plenty of sections of the moon, each with the prominents craters and features to see. It's agile, it's complete and still light. Nice grab'n go. Good piece of work from this author.
