Original Bar Soap

If your “office” is out in the elements, this stuff is awesome. It gets rid of sweat and grime without drying out your skin, and it really helps prevent tinea and other skin issues. The bar is nice and thick, lathers up easily, and doesn’t leave a strong smell behind. My skin just feels clean and healthy afterward. If you train, work outside, or just sweat a lot, Defense Soap is 100% worth it.

First off, this soap isn't your average shower buddy. It's packed with tea tree oil, which is like a natural warrior against bacteria and funky odors. Works great

I had a large scale fungal infection, skin candida, it was omggg there aren't any words! Now I am not sure if this soap was what got rid of it, because I was also taking oral meds (fluconazole) and using topical cream (clotrimazole). However, I will say: 1) this soap leaves you Squeaky Clean. You won't want to use another soap after you use this one. There is no waxy after residue. 2) the first 2 times i used this soap on the fungus, the fungus parts BURNED! I think this soap does kill fungus on contact. You have to leave it on the fungus for a few minutes though. 3) I'm not crazy about tea tree oil smell, but, it goes away after you shower. also, it does take away any funny smells your body may have, better than other soaps. bye bye BO! 4) haven't had a single pimple ever since i started using this soap. 5) based on #2, I would say that this soap is a great preventative measure against future fungus infections. This soap will not fix a large scale fungus infection, but if you use it regularly, it will prevent future outbreaks if you are prone to skin issues. 6) use less plastic and treat yourself to triple milled soap. This soap costs a bit more than Irish Spring but because they squeezed all the water out of this bar, it lasts 3x longer, and plus you are putting natural essential oils on your skin. You feel better and smell better and doing the environment a favor, can't lose. I'd recommend everybody use this soap at least once a week, even if you are not having fungus issues or even if you are not an athlete. it is very deep cleansing. I also recommend for anyone with acne problems or funny body odor. This soap neutralizes a lot of skin issues. I work out 6x/week, and don't want another fungal infection, so I'll be using this forever. EDIT: One year later: I LOVE THIS SOAP. I've tried a few more premium triple milled soaps and this one is the best. Gets the job done. Smells good and leaves you squeaky clean. I mean it-- use this soap , rub your arms after your shower, you'll see what I mean-- there's literally a squeaking sound! Still working out 6x/ week. This is good stuff.

Doesn’t help with itching or body oil but otherwise works well as a general soap

My son discovered this the one year he was in wrestling in high school, and asked for it again. Same great quality, seems to last forever, and has a clean - if strong, fragrance. It leaves the skin very clean. It was strong enough to counter "boy funk" for a teen and strong enough to counter "man stank" in an adult.

I waited a few weeks to review this, because it’s not useful to write something the moment you open a bar of soap, it has to be used a while to know it it’s any good. I got this for the obvious use of cleaning up after sports or working out, but I ended up using it for my morning shower. I’ll tell why using it that way was not my first intent. WHAT IT IS This is a so-called medicated soap, it’s supposed to work on the natural bacteria that cause odors, which makes it a logical choice for sports. When you play sports with bigger than average balls the strenuous activity results in inevitable friction, which results in something that goes by various names but all of them have to do with skin irritation and odors. A very thorough washing in the shower of those areas which will end up in a restricted piece of clothing cleans them so they don’t start to smell nasty. DOES IT WORK Like so many products what works for me may not work for you, there is only one way to know if you will like it and that is to try it. But at about seven bucks a bar that’s an expensive gamble. That’s where the good news comes in that makes this a higher rated product – it lasts a long time. That’s why I feel okay using it daily in my shower. A little known thing is that many bars of soap are pumped full of air, which means you get maybe a week’s use out of one bar. I’m confident this one will last at least a month each, and that takes a bit of the sting about paying that much. YES NO MAYBE I feel good about this purchase. I started with trying the two-pack but next time I will go for the case, once I like a brand I don’t like to switch. And I like this one.
