The 6725 Phone is a true IP phone that can operate as a standalone Microsoft Lync endpoint. When connected to a Microsoft Lync equipped desktop, it provides a synchronized integration with the desktop client, to enable enhanced functionality, such as click to dial and desktop control of calling features such as transfer, hold, call park, and conferencing. The 6725 Phone features both a full color 3.5 inch LCD screen and a separate Unified Communications (UC) presence icon providing direct access to features and presence indicators in Lync. Exceptional voice quality is provided through the use of Microsoft audio codecs in both the handset and hands-free modes.

Great Lync (Skype for Business) phone!
My workplace has been using these Aastra Lync 6725ip (Lync is now called Skype for Business) phones for several years. I've ordered at least 150 of these phones over the years and have probably had about 5 phones that don't work properly. (96% success rate). Once the Lync server and infrastructure is in place, these phones are very easy to setup and use. The screens are color, and if another Lync user is calling, it shows their picture on the screen (if their picture is setup within Lync.) The buttons and menu system on the phone are very easy to use, even for those that are technically challenged. The used prices on these phones are incredibly low. If you are using Lync (or now Skype for Business) in your workplace, these are a great phone to get!

Works and looks great. The status light is great for troubleshooting!
To be clear -this is a Lync only phone. It is not a dumb SIP phone. To set it up you must USB tether it to a PC running Lync or setup DHCP server options and pin codes in Lync. This is due to the embedded Lync software in the phone. If you know Lync, this phone is a breeze to setup. Mine worked great out of the box.

Great Lync Phone!
I have been using this phone for a little over 3 years. I must tell you that I am in complete love with this phone. This phone is such a critical component of my work-life and it has always been of a great help during stressful calls. Very easy to setup and the installation is almost "dumb-proof"!

Great SIP Phone to replace PolyComCX600
Works great in our office environment. Using it to replace the Polycom CX600 SIP phones that have the hookswitch problem.

Poor Documentation / Poor Tech Support
I've been trying to get this phone set up with our 2010 Lync Server. The phone is stuck in a loop. The documentation consists of a three page brochure and there are no other resources on their web site. Beyond that tech support is not emailable so you have to call in. Well get ready to hold. Comcast actually takes care of their call volume better. On top of that if you ever set up phone systems and call queues, you can tell when you call in to tech support must have been designed back in 1997. For a phone manufacturer, I'd expect all of the gadgets, call backs, music on hold selection, etc. No, it's one looping track of music while you're on the queue and an "All Service Representatives are currently busy". Terrible.
