Although styling is not its strong suit, my elderly mom accepted this unit willingly. She's only had it for about a week now, but we're generally pleased. There's no additional equipment, other than the charger, which is a standard cell phone charger. The system was very easy to get working and the monitoring service seems reasonably priced. It should work anywhere there's T-Mobile coverage. Speech quality when conversing with a receptionist is tinny and distorted but acceptable for the application, especially considering all of the engineering challenges. Claimed battery life is two months between charges. According to product documentation, a charging reminder call will occur if necessary.

Did not work well, to expensive

It is working as expected. I recommend it to anyone who has a need for quick emergency help.
