Shoddy work

The piece of plastics they gave me as a guide for screw holes was 14mm out, how??, The thing is a bit flimsy and feels like it's been a put together as a half an hour DIY project, I am not amazing at woodwork but could of do e better in 35 mins if I had the time to spare, I would t suggest
