Daily Bread Homestead 30 Fertile Coturnix Quail Hatching Eggs

We ordered 30eggs. The package Took a while to get picked up after a label was generated which worried me. So I reached out to ask why and they informed me that they do it that way to ensure order quality. So I was patient and waited for my eggs. I Received 32 eggs when I only ordered 30, so that was very nice. All eggs were in perfect shape. No cracks or anything. We ended up getting an incubator that was not very good unfortunately, but even with sub par equipment 29 out of the 32 eggs hatched. Out of the 3 eggs that didn't hatch. One was fully developed and piped the egg but couldn't get out, one died at around day 7 or 9 of incubation, and the last egg that did not hatch was not fertilized at all. 2 ended up dying after hatching. One couldn't walk and over heated and died, the other one I'm pretty sure died from being scared to death from me accidently dropping a bowl of their hatched shells into the brooder. There is also one that was born with curved toes. He's doing great, and another one with a curved neck. Which I figured would die, but it's been a week and it's still going strong. So I'm just gonna let it live it's best life. I would definitely recommend buying eggs from this seller. It was a great experience. My first experience, but a great one. I'm in TN and had to get them shipped from FL. I was expecting only half to mature because of that, and got 29 to hatch and have 27 birds total so far a week after hatching them. All while using probably the worst quality incubator ever lol. The quail I received were pharoah patterned as well. Very pretty!

Daily Bread Homestead is above and beyond!!! I purchased 30 quail eggs and was given extras just in case. Beautifully packaged in foam with supporting paperwork to assist with the hatching process!!! Looking forward to seeing if I have a good hatch rate.

Ordered from them 3 times. 3rd time came from somewhere else.First and second time ordering, came from Main, was packaged wonderfully, had 10 extra eggs, came with instructions, and was delivered 2-3 days after it was shipped. I had great success and had about 28 hatch from each order. I was very happy with the results and decided to order again.The third order came from Tennessee, was in transit for a week and a half, was packaged sparsely, had exactly 30 eggs and some were broken. Only had 8 potentially viable eggs at lockdown after candling and only had 4 hatch.They seem to have wildly different outcomes and that seems to be because the eggs come from different vendors, which is weird because it did not say that they come from different places.I am very unhappy with this and that’s why I’m writing this review.

This is my 2nd time ordering quail from this seller. The first time I ordered 30 received 36. Unfortunately because of ups alot of the eggs came cracked. Everything was packaged well but I think maybe the delivery was too aggressive for them. I spoke to the seller and they wanted to offer a refund but I declined because I knew I would purchase again. Can't blame them for bad delivery. Out of 36 approx 20 were ok put of 20, 7 hatched but then 3 died immediately. But 4 of them lived and are doing great. I ordered again and they more than made up for the previous delivery issue. This time it came usps. I received 44 eggs. Approx 12 eggs were not fertile. 2 eggs died in shell and 6 didn't become anything but they looked fertile. But I was able to hatch 24 beautiful energetic quail. For the price this can't be beat. Received over 50% hatch but even if I would have received less hatch rate I would have been happy because they listened yo my complaints and were more than willing to rectify at that moment and did rectify when I purchased a new batch.

Waited to write review to they hatched and we'll worth it!!!! The eggs came nicely packed and secure, all arrived in perfect shape. After resting for 2 days I started incubation. Started pipping on day 16 and as of today day 18 so far 28 have hatched and still have 3 more in other incubator that's pipping. Did receive a 6 extra eggs which was a bonus. Have 8 left to go and 3 more appear to be hatching soon. So fertile rate is amazing. Best eggs I've received ever, will buy more from this seller!!

Less than half hatched, and then there was a few that tried to hatch and died while hatching, because they were too weak, so many weren't even fertile do not recommend only 5 survived a week out of all of them and I'm a seasoned homesteader and had many birds and animals

They sent me 35 eggs and in shipping one got broken so I got 4 extra basically, I appreciate that greatly. Out of 34 eggs I had 19 hatch successfully on their own with no help needed. 2 developed about 95% or more and tried hatching but from lack of development in their umbilical areas, they didn't make it. The remaining eggs either weren't fertile or partially developed according to candling after the hatch. I would order from them again, the colors of the chicks is one of my favorite parts. They're very healthy chicks and were not stragglers on hatch day/day 16. I woke up to 8 hatched on the morning of day 16 and the rest followed before sundown. 18 of those 19 are fully grown now and about to be crowing/laying.

The eggs arrived safe and sound. I ordered 30, revieved 40.0 broken.These are labeled as jumbo and just from the eggs they came in between 10-15 grams so they do appear to be jumbo quail eggs.At this point they have sat in my incubator at 40-50% humidity and 99.3-99.9 degrees for 14 days. Switching over to lockdown only 13 eggs developed. So that is a 32.5% fertility rate which is pretty low even for shipped eggs.Will update again with how many of the 13 hatch!Update!Out of the 13 eggs only 7 hatched. 1 of the babies was born with his intestines out of his body so he had to be put down leaving me with 6 live babies. 2 are mostly brown 4 are yellow with brown markings.
