The Stratocaster Manual: Buying, Maintaining, Repairing, and Customizing Your Fender and Squier Stratocaster

Great manual that addresses the history, maintenance, and customization of the iconic Strat guitar and its ugly sister, the Squier, as well as other Strat style guitars. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish with respect to improving the performance of your Strat or Squier guitar. As you might guess, the author doesn't nail EVERYTHING. For instance, he barely mentions the wimpy trem block that comes stock with a Squier. In my experience, its replacement with a larger, solid brass block, makes a huge difference with respect to resonance & sustain. Therefore, I have supplemented this book with another (The Electric Guitar Handbook, which covers more than just the Strat). Together with You Tube videos, I feel that I have all I need. Nevertheless, a great book. Highly recommended.

This is a very well-written, well-illustrated and well organized and helpful book. I am an advanced beginner as a player. I have two Stratocasters and am starting to do some of my own setups and upgrades. I have found this book to be very helpful.

An incredibly well written book. I'm new to the Stratocaster world after playing acoustic and mainly classical guitar. Learned so much about the strat and how to take care of my new guitar. It was like a college course for taking care of your guitar. Highly recommend this book.

Great manual

Exactly what I was looking for. Fantastic photos of the steps and clear instructions for the easy stuff right up to the things I'll still choose to pay an expert to do, like replacing the bridge.

I liked the technicality of the book which would allow me to do my own repairs

Everything needed to know about Strat models. Can't wait to mod the electronics. Good, clear photos and diagrams.

If you are a Strat owner who wants to learn more about the guitar, and dig in to do some of your own adjustments, this is a great book. So many good photos and information.

This is the "trainspotter" Guide to the Strat, at least when you take it to bits you can put it back together and it will be better than when you started!

Very good and useful book (or rather manual). Indispensable for anyone who wants to take a good care of a Stratocaster and perhaps even modify it
