Yes the non return valve trap does the job and so far for us this has worked well. We had an infestation of rats with the entry point through the main drains to under our property. We would add that it is a wise idea to regularly check your drains to make sure all is flowing well. But with regard to rats it does the job. Hope this helps.

item doesn't look bad and the idea is ok for blocking rats, but the flap bit not thick enough could be double in thickness, I will come back with an update about the product. Too prices for what you get!

Arrived a day early, which is always welcome. Very pleased with product. Easy to install. Perfect for the job.

Just purchased and installed the device. Clearly fits the pipe profile well, but the remaining gaps wither side of the flap seem to allow a rat bus to come through. As a result I remain highly skeptical whether this would do anything to deny access to rats down this pipe. A design flaw? Or is it my (lack of) installation skill?

Very good. Stopped the rats but super expensive for what it is. Would be better if it was a bit longer so it could go deeper in the pipe. Where I fitted it the manhole wasn't flush with the pipe hence more length would have been better. Given it 4 stars. 1 star lost because it's very very expensive.

Went into drain easily. Not sure it would work for tiny mice, but should stop rats. Haven’t noticed any rat damage since but it’s hard to prove a negative…

Absolutely shocking in looks like a child under 3 made the flap on the inside and leaves a gap big enough for a dog, let alone a rat
