Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9/40 Blue Alpha Aero IWB Kydex Holster (Black - Right Hand)

Like a glooooooove. I've owned many holsters for various handguns and man, this one is just awesome. Slim, fits well anywhere you put it (appendix, 3:00, 4:30, .etc) and has that positive "click" sound when holstering and a smooth unholster for a super fast draw. The weight is negligible and while it doesn't have any kind of guard to prevent you from catching your skin on a reholster it's better without the bulk and you should be watching those reholster's anyway!Obviously the kydex fits perfectly because it was created using a mold of the Shield, therefore being "made for it" is a bit redundant, however, we've all owned holsters that felt like fit was stamped "good enough" from the factory . This holster fits like it should be standard issue OEM. Minimalist, everything you need, nothing you don't. Buy it.Normally I'd give out 4 stars, but the fact I carry this every day and don't have to worry about it one way or the other means it's getting 5 stars. I may pick one of these up for my Glock 26 as well.

Because of the adjustable cant, the clip does not snap into the hanks gun belt solid like I prefer. If this was the only holster I owned I would think it normal. I have a p238 and another shield holster from 2 different manufacturers that snap and hold onto anything like a rock. I put the p238 on beltless scrubs and it snaps on solid and obvious. It may be just me. I was recently in a self defense situation which required a draw. With the rush of adrenaline all the weaknesses of your system are amplified a 1000 fold. If it can go wrong, it will. You can't train out a structural parts weakness by practicing at the range. For the p238 and shield get a great holster and keep the safety on fire. From experience I can say YOU WILL NOT REMEMBER THE SAFETY OR HAVE TIME TO CLICK IT OFF. Glocks with 5 to 7 lb triggers are carried without safety routinely everyday.

Blue Alpha Gear did an excellent job with this one! I love the "click" of my gun locking into place and the comfort of knowing my weapon is secure and accessible. I've tried many different carrying styles and holster brands and this holster + appendix carry is an excellent combo! Before committing to it, I tested it strenuously... Holding it upside down and shaking it with the gun unloaded and inside, jumping up and down and running, etc. The gun ALWAYS stays in the holster, no issue. However, there is some jostling on my belt during strenuous exercise. This was to be expected and is not a deal breaker for me, I simply tighten my belt or secure the holster with my hand during these activities.I really appreciate that my gun's functionality is completely limited while in this holster. There is no access to the safety or the trigger. I feel very comfortable when wearing this and hardly remember I have a gun in my pants it is so comfortable. When drawing out of the holster, it is a breeze. There's enough pressure to keep everything contained and safe, but no issues at all drawing when I need to. I highly recommend this item!

I’ve been using this holster exclusively for 3 years now, and it’s been awesome. The adjustable retension is a huge plus. Only improvements I would make is using all stainless steel hardware (got some minor rust on the retention adjustment screw, easily fixed with a drop of oil). I would also make the “hump” the belt clip is fastened stick out less, just enough for the gun not to rub against the screw heads.

Items was as described.Very comfortable.Great fit.Easily adjustable (Phillips or Flathead)'Clicks' into place.Didn't scratch my gun like some people have mentioned (but I haven't had it for very long, have only put in holster and drawn out about 15 times)Only problem I have, which is admittedly my fault for not thinking/doing proper research. If you plan to carry this while working, and work in a place where you must wear a dress shirt (without an overcoat), this may not work. Dress code where I work requires me to tuck my shirt. I can't tuck my shirt in while wearing this. But, as earlier stated, this is my fault for not doing enough research of what type of holster I needed.Overall : Excellent product. Well made. Also, made in the USA? Can't go wrong with that. (Well , you can, but not with a product of this quality)

My favorite holster. This is the most comfortable IWB holster I've ever owned.Pros- Comfortable- Durable- Excellent fit- Mag release is covered unlike most IWB holsters.- Slide is completely covered by kydex so no worries about rust or corrosion from sweat and such.Cons- Expensive for a piece of plastic (albeit a well made piece of plastic)- Belt clip had sharp edges which caused me to cut my hand a few times. Smoothed the edges with some sandpaper and all is well but I would expect better for the price- Muzzle end of kydex is open so lint/dust accumulates quickly in barrel
