Bought this watch from another seller on another platform for just under £200.00Initial thoughtsSummary.I love this watch. The design motifs give it the correct historic feel for a WW2 field watch.PROS1. Classic WW2 hack watch design features. Not an exact 'Dirty Dozen' copy as it doesn't have the seconds sub dial. Closer in this respect design to the 'A-11' field watch. It looks very convincing as a homage to both. Love the retro 1940's 'feel' of the design The BULOVA' lettering is really neat.2. Very nice finishing over the whole watch The dial quality printing is superbly crisp. The case is very well finished in it's brushed stainless steel gunmetal colour.3. It Hacks like the original does4. Quality leather strap and strap fittings with a signed "BULOVA" buckle and Bulova tuning fork design on the crown.5. Personally I like smaller 38mm watches more than monster sized alarm clock sized watches .My wrists are quite large but this looks understated on my wrist and doesn't catch on sleeves.. It's perfect for those with slender wrists. A true unisex watch6. Lume is moderately strong and lasts reasonably well. Not in the same class as a MWC or Seiko heavily applied lume watch though, but more than adequate for most people.7. Hand winding is very easy and feels nice and positive with the slightly larger crown like the original Bulova hack watches had.CONS1. Mineral crystal - expectation is that this will get scratched , maybe quite badly in the future? Sapphire would have been much better. I'm sure you could obtain and fit a sapphire domed crystal if you wanted at some point.2. Watch thickness? Some people might find the watch a little proud on their wrists? at around 13mm. it compares favourably with my Seiko 809 in my opinion.3. Wish the sweep hand had a touch of red on it's tip. - would improve legibility..(see Seiko 5 - SK809)I cannot yet comment on the accuracy , power reserve and winding technique yet. Watch needs to be run in with full winding/ unwind a few times to settle it in. i'll do an update when i've done this.Some Updates...Accuracy + /- 10 seconds a day.Power Reserve tested at ...46.5 hoursWinding is excellent on wrist and hand winding to 40 turns adequately winds the watch to maximum reserveDec 2023.Still in love with this watch. The glass has a couple of tiny scratches on it now but nothing major. The case finish is still as good as when it was new. The watch is still accurate and the power reserve has not changed - if anything t's slightly longer than when new.. Showed this watch to my top of the range Rolex owning nephew. He was very impressed by the styling and the execution. What an excellent watch which still gets a lot of wrist time from me A great buy ! I bought the Quartz version as it was on special offer at £100 ! what a bargain!
