Bakeware Buddy Non-Stick Surface-Safe Plastic Knife

I learned years ago that the best way to cut brownies or any other kind of bar cookie was to let it cool and then cut it with a plastic knife. That technique worked, but not without breaking a lot of cheap plastic knives! Then I saw this knife and decided to give it a try. The first time I cut into a pan of brownies, it went through them like a hot knife in butter BUT --- it didn't break! I could actually push to cut the edges and not worry about it breaking. I can use it for cutting cakes, sandwiches, etc. if I feel like it, but the purpose for which it was made is to cut things that stainless knives stick to and it works like a charm. Great buy!

You know those non stick pans that you can’t stick in the dishwasher nor can you use metal utensils …this knife is perfect. Doesn’t scratch or scrape. And a great price. And it can go in the dishwasher but cleans easily enough without doing that.

I'm really glad I bought this bakeware knife. It doesn't scrape the bottom of my pans when I cut brownies, and it cuts all the way through. The only reason I gave it four stars is because it doesn't exactly make a clean cut. I don't know if it was because I cut the brownies while they were still kind of warm, but I had chunks from the tops of the brownies stuck on the knife. It was kind of awkward to try to stick the brownies back together, so I just kind of molded a brownie out of all the chunks that got stuck to the knife. It's really easy to clean and you can just stick it in your dishwasher (I haven't had any problems with it in the dishwasher). It's definitely saved my pans from cuts from knives and I'm glad I bought it. If you don't mind waiting until your brownies are cooled or don't mind brownie chunks on the bakeware knife, it's an excellent product.

Works really well and protects my bakeware. Excellent customer service. Would recommend.Update: I've owned this for 1 1/2 years and use it once every week or two to cut various breakfast breads baked in my non-stick loaf pan. It is washed about half the time in the dishwasher (top rack) and half the time by hand. Today it snapped in half at the junction between the handle and blade while cutting zucchini bread. While I realize that it's plastic and won't last forever I'm a little disappointed, as it wasn't really abused in any way and was not used very frequently. And the price is a bit high for what it is. I think I may go back to the cheap disposable knives from now on - at least when they break you're not surprised.

This little gadget is one of my all time favorite kitchen utensils! I love it so much that I have given several away to family members, who also rave about it. It slices through brownies cleanly, with none of the sticking that happens with ordinary knives, causing globs of the brownies to come off. The result is a nice, clean cut of a pan of brownies with no waste. It’s easy and quick. I highly recommend this little knife!

I use this for any cutting that must be done on my non stick cookware. I use to have to use a plastic knife that at times would melt, warp or just plain break. The bakeware buddy has changed all that. I no longer have to worry about scratching any of my pans. Works great for cakes, brownies any baked good that you need to cut. Pretty much non-stick and easy to clean. Asset to any kitchen.

The knife is actually the size a child would use in a play kitchen. The handle is very short.On the plus side, it didn’t cut through the coating on my nonstick pan.

This plastic knife is one of those kitchen 'must haves.' You can cut through a batch of still warm brownies or cookie bars without making a mess, and since it's plastic it won't scratch non-stick bake ware.I used to keep a few old plastic picnic type knives handy but they don't last very long. This plastic knife is serrated and sturdy. I've used it on baked goods and have even used it on lasagna and casseroles without leaving any scratches in my pans. If you do a lot of baking and have non stick cookware and bake ware then this little knife is well worth the purchase.

Great knife that doesn’t ruin pans. Sharp enough to cut all baking but doesn’t scratch pans. Only negative is it’s not super durable. I have gone through a couple over the years. If you push too hard they will break. But when I break one I always order a new one right away!!

I use this knife when i make anything in a teflon/non stick pan/baking dish, you can cut and not mark the pan/dish

This is a replacement to my previous plastic knife I'd use to cut baked goods still in the cake/pie pan. I could remember the previous brand I bought but found this one. It does the job!It doesn't scratch my cake/pie pans and I've ended up buying 2 more.
