At first it was a pain in butt get it to work . Had put new battery in. Rest everything . The valume gave me trouble . My radio has for long hold or 1 tap. The long hold seemed to not allow valume to work right it be hit or miss weather went up or not. So i set it to 1 tap and started acting way it was suppse to. . It seems to work perfect now. I'll u ok date in view months. And the band seems garbage when and if it snaps I'll replace it with velcro strap. It works just got play with it .

I don't have the option to install OEM steering wheel controls (IOB)That being said when looking for a remote that would work with (Key) controls on my Android radio. I purchased this item and another. I wasn't sure if this would even fit, but it did!I tested both remotes and I highly recommend this one vs the kidney-shaped one available also here on Amazon.I had no issues installing a steering wheel cover over the controller.My only concern is the clear strap holding it to the steering wheel. I wish they included an extra one as it seems very strong and holds the remote snugly against the wheel, it will eventually break.Programming it to the Android head unit was simple. It didn't need any resistors.

I have been installed many electronic devices in the past. This device stops my radio as soon as it connects to my car. I used a multimeter to detect the voltage on my car as it connected to my car's accessory power, and my voltage dropped to 6 volts. It is defective.

My car is an old one, and does not have any steering wheel control.But as I upgraded my stereo to android unit, I decided to buy this so I can control some functions of the head unit from the steering wheel.Installation was pretty straightforward, as long as you have an android head units with pinout manual.Just connecting receiver's wires to key1, key 2, power and ground was everything needed.Only thing to note is, power and ground must be from the head unit, as connecting some external power will not make it work. (So, don't test it with portable power bank, etc)Once installed, it was pretty good.After I mapped the functions of the unit to the buttons, I could conveniently control the music and navigation without touching the screen.I have used it for 3 months, and only problem I had was, the included battery lasted only about 2 months.Didn't expect much from the one that was included, so I changed it with the one I bought from the local store. I will see how long it lasts.

It was an easy install. It worked great on the beginning. After about a day of driving, it started acting up, eventually in the end it stopped working. When checked the stereo Key1 and Key2 voltage levels, looks like the little box that connects to the stereo experienced a failure. From what I’ve noticed is that the circuit is missing a current limiter on Key1 and Key2 wires, eventually you’ll experience failure as too much current is being synced through those connections causing things inside to overheat. The solution to it is to install 10K resistors on the Key1 and Key2 wires before connecting to the stereo to limit the current. These should limit the current to few miliamps keeping the components from overheating. I’m getting a replacement next few days so I’ll try to see if this will solve the issue. At this time I can state that there’s a serious problem and needs investigation.

Works flawlessly nice cool blue backlight. Have installed with android head unit key 1 and key 2 wiring works perfectly installed effortlessly 100% reccomends.Slides around slightly i have installed under steering wheel cover which resolved that for me.

This product does not function according to the description or the wiring instructions. It was installed by a professional, being attached to a brand new Kenwood radio. Very upset with this product. No matter how we wired it up, it does not function. The red transponder light activates when the buttons are pushed, however the radio does not recognize the device. I have left feedback, and questions regarding the device, and what may be the issue. However, have yet to have a response.

Works great and has a smaller foot print then other brands and types it fit Nicely on the steering wheel looks great and works great !
