Cortas - Baba Ghanoush Eggplant Dip, 6.5 oz (Pack of 6)

The baba got news is really very delicious I have gotten that brand before from a Middle Eastern grocery I will say this so I love the size of these cans they are smaller they are only around 8 oz but I like it better because the 14 to 16 oz cans sometimes it goes to waste cuz I'm the only one in the house that eats it so I'm really enjoying what these are 8 ounce cans and I can eat them you know quick enough that it doesn't go bad and the flavors are amazing and I've also had the Hummus in this brand and the hummus is very good also

I grew up in a home with Middle Eastern. Food was always cooked and available. So, I know what baba ghanouge is supposed to taste like. Before you serve it, spread it out in a small bowl kind of like a salad bowl, and sprinkle Italian or other oregano-based herb over the dish, and then liberally pour olive oil over it. please note, eating this product straight out of the can will not be satisfying. Follow my instructions, and you will love it.

The cans are extremely small, about as big as the little tomato paste cans, but the product is delicious and actually it's a pretty good size for one or two people if you are worried about it going bad in the fridge. It tastes essentially like restaurant baba ghanoush to me, but maybe a little tamer. I add a little mashed garlic and smoked paprika. It's creamy texture is as expected and not too costly for something that tastes like you got it in a restaurant.

Very smooth texture is nice. But smoky taste is a bit overwhelming. Some people may like this. My babaganoush does not have smoky flavor when I make it from scratch. I prefer that.

It test great, not need to add anything to it, other than some extra virgin olive oil which enhances the flavor greatly.

I was at a Greek restaurant and had baba ghanoush and loved it. To be honest, I was too lazy to try and make it myself and so I purchased this. I do not like it as well as the one that I had in the restaurant, but I’m trying to decide if I still like it or not. I should have perhaps gone with the very tiny cans before going with the 6 ounce cans. It’s a bit stringy.

I was a little disappointed… it’s ok… the taste is slightly metallic probably from the can. Something to consider for the maker…

I like my baba ganoush with a little bit of smokey flavor. Not too overpowering, just a little bit. This hits the spot. And the smaller cans are good for one or two servings.
