Optical Illusions: 70 designs to help you de-stress (Coloring for Mindfulness) Paperback – August 4, 2015

Here's the thing my grandchildren have this book. So I needed it to keep up with them! It's smaller than most books and has a paper cover that is lighter weight paper than I expected. Both sides of the paper have a design on it. I usually don't buy a book if it has that. You need to becareful or your markers, gel pens etc will bleed onto the back side. Some of the designs are so tiny I had to get a magnifying glass! When I try to get a page out of the book I have to be very careful or the pages will rip. Now for the good stuff. This book is very challenging and I love that! You need to be very observant of the design before you start on it. The finished designs are awesome even my husband commented on how cool they looked. Said they reminded him of the 70's! I've enjoyed the challenge after becoming bored with some of my other books that I still love! I would recommend this book for yourself or a gift. Just remember you need fine tipped pens or pencils... Very fine tipped. Now order this book and get your fine tipped pens or pencils and enjoy many hours of great fun.

Not quite what I expected. Might color in it when I run out of other things to color. I really wish they would show watermarked samples because the cover isn't really a good representation of what's inside.

I love this book so much that I ordered two more. Great pictures and really amazing optical illusions! Fun to color!

The media could not be loaded.  This is a book of “optical illusion” designs. The pages are printed in gray rather than black as most coloring books. While I like the concept and the designs are quite different, I think that the light gray makes it difficult to color. If it had been printed in black, I could use light or dark colors without any problems. With the lighter tone, my bright colors overwhelm the page.The format of this is smaller than most coloring books at approximately 8 x 8 inches. The binding is a type of rubbery glue that is located at the top of the book. It makes getting to all sides of the design much easier and now that I have experienced it, I wish more coloring books had top binding (as do many art books). My only concern is that if I remove a page, it may “break” the binding at that point and take more than the one page off. The back of the book is a heavy cardboard that keeps the book stable, especially if you are working in-hand instead of on a hard surface.The designs are printed on both sides of the page – which is a big disappointment for me because, although the paper weight is good, all of my gel pens and markers bleed through. If I want to color each design in the book, I would have to use my colored pencils. If I really wanted to use markers or pens, I would have to sacrifice the back side picture and remove the picture from the book or put a waste page below my work area to keep other pages from being ruined.The designs are interesting but I wish the publisher had re-thought both the gray printing and printing on both sides of the page.

I like the designs but the light grey outside makes it hard to color. I only spent $8 but wish I would I spent it on another optical illusion coLoring book. I just hadn't seen one before so I got excited. Should have did my research :( if the Grey wouldn't bother you, the designs are good.

The designs are more pictures and not really for colouring. I was expecting something more along the lines of MC esher these are just dull and not suitable.

really is an optical illusion ! may send you a bit mad if coloring for too long!
