I wish this had a title like for 4K screens only. This didn't work for me, which doesn't mean it won't work for you. It may not even work on those from a laptop. Research is needed before buying any of these types of devices.

About the product. It does what it is supposed to do...when it works (more below). But I want to start out by saying that you should buy this without fear. The customer service experience with this seller is 5 stars.When I first purchased the product, it worked well for about 8 months. I then started having issues with the extended monitors. I have some different color screens...sometimes the monitors would go flash...go off. I went through an extensive troubleshooting process to ensure that I ruled out any other possible cause. I ultimately confirmed that it was the adapter. So I contacted the company via Amazon. They immediately advised me that they would be sending a replacement at no charge, no questions asked. The new one arrived in a few days and it's been working well. All the problems that I was experiencing are gone. Time will tell how this new one turns out. But at the end of the day, I would buy more products from this seller without reservation. Nobody is perfect. It's how you handle the situation that matters. Their customer service is impressive. Buy without hesitation.

The device works but off and on lose screens especially using higher resolutions 4K. I suspect has something to do with refresh capability. Bought multiple of this device; one unit will not even get recognized by the computer. But after re-trying multiple USB-A ports, it finally was recognized.

This worked perfectly fine for my old Windows computerI've upgraded to a Macbook Pro M2 and Displaylink manager (software that allows you to have more than 1 monitor) only 'somewhat' works. Meaning, it'll flicker black for 2-3 seconds every 30-60 seconds or so. It becomes so frustrating that you end up not wanting to use that second monitor at all

Only one issue, the connected monitor continuously refreshes

I attached this item to a 3x1 KVM switch with the three laptops and 2 monitors. It solved a huge issue of allowing two monitors to connect through a singular USB 2.0 port. I also love that I can attach my PC and Chromebook!

I used this to add a third monitor to my work station at home. I have my station exactly how I want it now!

Can't say anything negative about this adapter. I followed the instructions and installed the driver first, then plugged in and then my two monitors. Everything has been working great since then. No lag, no loss of resolution, and no hiccups when unplugging it to use the laptop on its own. I have a Samsung Ultra7, which I run as my desktop all day long, which means the card has to work for extended periods of time. It gets warm, but not hot. I'm running it at 1080 and haven't had any issues with video, but I couldn't say how it might handle 4K. By the way, I'm using monitors of different brands and the card is plugged into a USB-3 hub that is also running a card reader and a CD drive. Bottom line, this is a very inexpensive and reliable way to extend your desktop on a laptop that has USB-3 capabilities.

It only connects one port and even though it does not connect all the times.
