Been going 6 years now! Outside 100% of the time.
I saw a review that mentioned the unit didn't have AM radio. That must be a newer version than the one I have, but I bought this unit in 2017. Since day one it's been mounted outside in the elements. It's under a patio roof, but still...the humidity, blowing rain, occasional tornado/storm, etc.... this little thing is STILL running just fine. Hornets have made nests inside the mic jacks... doesn't stop it. I run this thing on bluetooth for patio speakers and it's been banging out great tunes for six years now. If it blows up tomorrow I won't have a single complaint with it.I was actually just talking about it last night and that reminded me that I owed it to them to come update my review - only to find I'd never written one. It's NOT a superpowerful unit. No. But it will boom out across my 1-acre yard with absolutely no problem at all. It's provided many great parties, afternoons with dinner music, and never let me down once.If I had ONE complaint with the unit it would be that it powers back on to Tuner, not where you leave it. I have mine set on bluetooth al the time so if we lose power I have to stand on a chair and press input 4 times to get it to go back where I need it, but honestly most people don't have it 10 feet in the air so it's not an issue for them.

Lots of features - lots of headaches
This thing has loads of features packed into a small package but it has some fatal flaws, well, I think it has ALL the fatal flaws. The sound is good if you can manage to figure out how to get it working.1. The display screen has a dark blue background with grey lettering. It's almost impossible to read from any angle and it IS impossible to read from below so do not put this on a shelf above your head. DO NOT get this for this reason alone.2. The blue tooth worked at first, then stopped working for every device I tried, then I "forgot" the device on my iPhone and can't get it back because there appears to be no way to put the Pyle into pairing mode.3. If the power button is pressed it stays in the "on" position even when outlet power is off, so it will turn back on when power is applied. The problem is that it won't come back on in the same mode as when it was turned off. AM always comes on at 530, while FM remembers the last setting, but sometimes that changes and I'm not sure why.4. Sometimes the main dial changes the volume and sometimes it changes the tuner setting. I refuse to figure out why. I use the useless remote control to change the tuner settings because it almost works every time.I'm sure I'd find more wrong with this if I had the patience. Get yourself one of those tiny Bluetooth speaker amplifiers, drive all your source material through your phone or pad and avoid the temptation to buy this. I read the reviews but I was smarter than everyone else, I'm an engineering and I could figure it out. I was wrong.

Love it - for my needs (Backyard Speakers only) READ Details!
What you need to know...I use this to drive two B&W 3.7 Ohm Speakers. I run them loud to hear over my 350 ft back yard for yard work and entertaining. They drive these speakers very nice. Note THD is around 10% (.01) - so anything above half volume starts to degrade. Radio scanned stations prior to placing antenna. Now stations are missing and unsure how to force a RESCAN of FM stations. Bluetooth is LIMITED to ONLY an MP3 Devices. For instance when my iMac connects it will only allow iTunes not my browser (TV) or another MP3 APP. I tried SD Card using a MediaAdapter Card to MicroSD (skips read errors, bad files etc) Found the USB Drive more Dependable. I use Multiple USB 16GB Flash Drives (see image - i like small cause i have cats, they screw with anything that sticks out) for each Music Genre (Old Rock, New Rock, New Age etc) One big drive is just too many files to navigate. My MP3 Library is just under 1 TB. One Button (POWER) and I have MUSIC!!! Using the USBs it plays for days without repeats!!! LOVE IT! with some quirks. I also make use of the RCA inputs & the 3.5 AUX IN (A must in my book) Use for MP3 players and computer sound porting since Bluetooth does not support speaker output - just music input.

Very Happy with purchase.....
First of all....i must say that a number of the issues stated in the reviews are somewhat true....the manual or lack there off is indeed hopeless. Tryingto tune and save a favorite fm station is also very true. You just can't do it and save it....but i did not buy this unit for the fm. The remote could be much better....but for me I just used a universal unit and learned from the pyle remote those function that i wanted to use.I bought this receiver for my garage and use it for streaming pandora and the music i uploaded on mt usb thumb drive....those functions work great for me as wee as streaming nenflix and amazon video....so, all in all i really like the unit.....and mine did not burn up...so i guess i was lucky....i don't know....will have to wait and see how long it lasts....but for $80 dollars or so....if i can get a few years out of it, i will be happy and buy another one.

Works great
Backstory: I have a very custom shelf in my kitchen that is only large enough for a mini-stereo type tuner/component for my home stereo. 5 years ago when doing a remodel, the only option I could find that would fit into this shelf was a $400 Cambridge Audio mini tuner/amp. 5 years later the Cambridge died (nice life span for a high end component huh?), and when looking for a solution I came across this one.Unless it breaks in the next couple of months, this amp, for the cost, is completely worth it. Yes, the tuner function is pretty week (it auto selects based on signal strength, so that favorite distant channel of yours may not be included after it "scans" for signal). BUT, for the price, the sound quality, size, etc is a bargain.I've seen a few reviews complaining about the blue tooth connectivity, but for me it works great. My phone charges on the same shelf as the unit, and it works great - eliminating wires.
