This is a cut glass vase that is heavy & sturdy. It feels like it will not be too heavy w flowers.However, the box was all beat up & it was sent in a mailable bag. This is a wedding present for my son & his new wife & now I have to figure out how I'm going to package this as a gift without a box & keep it safe from breaking.

Thought I could easily find a nice vase that supports water and flowers. Checked local retailers, yeah vases but all decorative, not for adding water. This vase is exactly what I wanted and has enough room for a generous bouquet.
