This was so cute and it fits in my pocket and in my small purse as well. This was perfect and I love it because it's the English standard version. I was hoping I could find the Old testament in English standard version as well from the same company but I can't find it

My bible is heavy and with this pocket Bible, my bag is less heavy. It’s also good for evangelism and for outings. It’s very light and I like that it has Psalms and Proverbs. I like the design of th cover and the font size. ++ the red font.

Easy to read, goes in my left breast pocket when I ride.

I like it that it fits in my pocket, so I can use it when needed. I can't always rely on my phone bible apps to work.

When they say “pocket size“ they’re not kidding. I imagine a man could tuck this in his trouser pocket, front or back, and it would not create any distortion at all, certainly not anymore than a cell phone would. I imagine the compactness of this Bible is the main reason people buy it. I can read it without my glasses, which is more than I can say for most instruction labels on products that I buy. If you are a woman looking for a compact Bible for your purse, you can definitely go up to a larger size than this one. This one is small enough to fit in the breast pocket of a shirt. This is basically the same kind of Bible like those little Gideon new Testaments most of us received at vacation Bible school when we were kids, but the cover on this is much softer, and the pages flip and turn easily. Lastly, this being the English standard version, as opposed to archaic Shakespearean English that the average American struggles to, read, is another reason it’s so great to hand out to people you’re trying to introduce to the Bible. I wish they could offer this excellent quality at a lower price so I could buy cases of them. I’ll watch for them to go on sale. Meanwhile, I can snatch up a few here and there as my budget allows.

Good print, nice sword insignia. Seen some reviewers complain of the translation missing a verse or so. Every translation has its issues, and the Kings James is not free from that, it too has mistakes here or there, and for that reason I always look across all translations when I want to delve into accuracy. But for daily reading to feed on the Word in places when accessing a full-size Bible is not possible, and just for preferences of modern understood terms, I prefer the ESV translation as my go-to, although I have Bibles of various translations. And sometimes I like to go into other languages as that helps to just see the core of the Greek and break away from this English obsession with antiquated languages that can lead people to stumble from terms that don't translate well to today's generations as like those who 'prophesy' to those who 'behold' who really gets that behold from ages back means prophesy? - if you are honest, nobody and so many actual meanings are lost sticking with kjv/douay rheims/etc, and it is about feeding sheep with understanding along with knowledge that really counts (Jeremiah 3:15). Really interlinear is best for getting to intended understanding, but I am not able to carry around multiple large books from my entire set of interlinear Bible in order to do that, and this is where desktop pc is great as well as desktop software, but for physical books, I prefer the ESV, myself already having firm foundations of the various nuances and verses that may or may not be there in this translation as well as all the OTHER translations. And this pocket-size is great for what it is, though I always wish it had more old testament besides the psalms & proverbs; I would prefer psalms and isaiah/jeremiah, because although I have a 'pocket' old/new esv, it is for labcoat pockets, not sweaters or small purses/fannypacks and I find isaiah/jeremiah great books to keep fresh who God is, the most crucial thing every believer needs firm grasp on. I have several of these small esv in different colors, including this sword, and came back to get several more so I am never without at least some form of the Bible at hand at all times in the quick form that an actual print book will always be superior to for flipping to verses, writing notes upon, etc that no app will ever come close to, without reliance on data access or charged batteries.
