True Jerky, The OG - Original Peppered Beef Jerky, 2.25 Ounce

Odd flavor. I'm guessing it's the agave but there's a chemically sweet flavor to this jerky that immediately hits you followed by a spicy after taste. I think this flavor would therefore be more aptly named "sweet and spicy." It's also more suede like in texture than patent leather. For a point of reference, I tend to like jerky that tastes like smoky peppery dried steak - which this does not. I guess gentlemen prefer their jerky to taste like agave.

I'm no true gentleman. Ask your daughter (zing!). But I can say, this is a top five on the scale of quality jerky, and a frequently stocked snack in our pantry. Branding is tight, but it comes down to seasoning and chew: TG's OG has both. It's spicy and salty with a toned down sweetness, and the give will work the jaw without leaving it dog tired. Bonus dental pick in each bag is a clever touch. Now, if you don't mind, I need to don my monocle before being driven to the opera.

Purchased this as a stocking stuffer for my husband. He really liked the flavor but there were a few pieces that were too fatty for his preference. Otherwise, he enjoyed it!

Was not too impressed. Basic Jerky that did not provide anything that would put it above any other brands. Just fancier packaging and came with a flosser.

delivered fast, very peppery! I will not order again because half of the bag was big and hard, non chewable pieces.

It tasted wonderful, but it was so expensive for such a little amount I couldn't purchase much.
