Paul Mitchell is the absolute best
Brief: Great product, the most matte product I've ever found and incredibly strong hold once it dries (20-30 seconds after spreading across your hands)I care about my hair more than I should. A bad hair day means I'm putting on a hat and calling it good. Paul Mitchell's lineup is the only product I have used for 6 or 7 years now. I use the clean cut as my primary because I like that it stays maliable and has nice texture. It's a great option when my hair is freshly cut. After 2-3 weeks is starts to look overgrown and if I use the clean cut it can sometimes seems greasy. This is when I switch to this particular variation. It's very moist when you apply it to your hands, then starts to dry rapidly after about 20-30 seconds. Long enough to apply it without it being hard to spread, but you have to know how you're styling it once it's in.It's not gel-like stiffness at all, it's almost like my hair would be after a game when I was a catcher in baseball. I know this is a niche group that will understand but there is a dryness and clay-esque feeling about your hair when the dust/dirt/sweat mixes under the helmet. It doesn't give much if a textured look but for a somebody that runs a 2 or 3 guard on the side on a fresh cut and goes 3-4 weeks between appointments it's a nice way to keep a clean look for the last week or so before your next cut.

Its amazing…
I used Hanz De Fuko a lot and I usually go off based on Amazon review. However, I decided to try Mitch because I kind of don't like how Hanz De Fuko is a bit dry for their paste. I decided to test this product by going to the club and this product is now my new favorite. I mean the paste is much softer than Hanz De Fuko and it doesn't have that weird smell. The smell from Mitch is definitely sandalwood and the hold is amazing will definitely use this product when go to work cause it is what Im looking for. Medium hold and smell great. Definitely gonna replace my previous claymation to this.

Not bad product but less suitable for rough hair
Looks like a good product but was less effective for rough hair.

We love this hair product!
My husband only uses this to style his hair and loves it! It stays in all day and we haven't been able to find a product to work with his fine hair as well as this product!

Great Smell
I have been using the Mitch Material for over 4 years now. It works great, holds amazing and smells even better. No matter what you are doing in the day your hair will be held all day and all night if needed. Do not worry about having to reapply for having your hair messed up. It is an easy to use product, a little goes a long way so it also last forever. I have bought it multiple times and I love it.

My new favorite product
I have medium/short hair. I like it to look messy and this clay does the job. I finish with some hairspray and I’m set for the day. Light scent.

They changed (ruined) the formula, packaging and effect. Definitely not as good as it was.
They had a great thing, messed around with it and managed to wreck it on multiple levels. If you've used this in the past, you'll see that the formula & packaging was recently changed. It's been turned into more of a cream texture than a wax now and it's nowhere close to the original.Used to have a great, matte / dry look and now this new formula looks & acts like every other wax-type product, comes off as oily and greasy, which defeats the original purpose / USP of offering a dry/matte look with a durable hold without looking wet and greasy like everything else out there. It's not like putting on a helmet of grease, I'd say it's almost exactly the same as their "Reformer" product now, if you've ever used that.Another thing that's awful about what they did to it is that the new white color stays that same color in your hair - not a "Something About Mary" thing, but more like giving you little streaks of gray hair all over, which is going to annoy a lot of people. Suppose anyone looking for that greasy salt & pepper look will be psyched, but I still haven't figured out a way to get it to blend in without going grey.Sucks that one of the best and only options for people that dont' want greasy-looking hair got trashed by the company that owns it. Finally, the new packaging is poorly designed in that you can't easily tell one product from another. If you have more than one on the shelf, plan on reading labels each time you go to grab one.
