Patience - it's a trial and error endeavor!
It took several tries to get the device/APP to where I could into put the specifics (i.e. Bell ID and the password), but after I realized that the Wifi SSID that my iPhone Recognized (as listed in the book) is not the Bell ID, but that the App will actually get the ID for the Bell Device when to have it search for the device instead of manually putting the Bell ID for the instructions. However, the default password in the instructions is correct.Regarding IOS and Android IOS compatibility issue: When I first started the installation process, I thought too, that there might be a problem with compatibility. However, I have the APP on both my iPhone 5s and my iPhone 6 Plus and it seems to be working fine on both. I found that my problem existed in the sometimes, confusing information in the instructions and when I tried to search for support for the device, my frustration just increased exponentially. But after I went though this process, I'm not so sure its an IOS problem (at least not with the current iPhone IOS).Subsequently, after resetting the device back to factory defaults, I began making notes on how the device and App reacted to any change I made (i.e. using the Bell ID in the instructions) I noticed that putting THAT ID in manually resulted in a "invalid ID" error. So I just let the App search for the device and it tagged the right ID and then I could redirect the Device to my Wifi and setup other preferences. Now everything seems to be functioning as it should, However, I did have to work through this process several times and even delete the APP (from phone and from my cloud) and redownload it fresh before device will go "online" and let me redirect the device to my own WiFi SSID.It took a lot of patience to work through this trial and error endeavor, but I am happy to say that my Doorbell (Device and APP) are working just fine now, There was one unexpected discovery in this journey. I have a Home LAN with a main router located with my ISP modem in the front of my house, and a second one which extends my WiFi to those parts of the house the main router signal can't reach. Both have unique SSIDs, which I thought was going to be problem because where the phone with the APP (80% or time) resides in an area that operates using the 2d router's SSID and the device is tagged to the main router's SSID. But to my amazement, when I walk from each router's respective coverage zone into other's zone, the iPhone automatically switches to that router's SSID, the device or APP will switch to that SSID as well.Having said all that, the only improvement that I would suggest is that the APP be revised to allow the user to import his or her own ringtones. I'm hard of hearing and need ringtones like sirens and foghorns to hear my phone when it rings, and the tones within the app are just not loud enough for me to hear.Other than the headache of setting the device/APP up through trial and error and the almost inaudible ringtones within the APP, I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase.

Won't recommend
The camera never connected to the app

Not as advertised
It is difficult to install and no option for technical support is provided. The wire broke during installation so I wasted my money.

Zoneway Doorbell.
There is a lot to like here with a few limitations to consider - and some workarounds in use.The app needs to be running in order to get notifications, however it is constantly pinging and vampiring your mobile data (although admittedly the data use is on the low side, approx. 400B/s - it still drains battery). It will work on WIFI but it will always kill the app when your phone goes to sleep I have found. Given the unit also includes an actual hardware doorbell, I calculated it takes about 9-10 seconds on a 4G connection to launch the app cold and take in the live feed if the app wasn’t running on the phone (similar times if connected to home wifi). How long has the UPS guy stood at your door? It's fast but I feel without the app running you are really missing the true potential. Both of these can be worked around but ideally it would maintain a connection without having to do that constantly. The workaround as it is would be to get a cheap table to act as a stand alone doorbell receiver. Never allow it to sleep and it will maintain a constant connection with the sending unit. The app + picture it produces are decent for its task and viewing platform (being the phone). The app takes a snapshot on the doorbell ringing and notifies you with a ringtone and a picture it snapped - nice. You can choose to answer the call or reject it. Likewise you can perform a variety of functions from the landing screen such as talking further snapshots / record video / or talk. The talk function is a problem - the mic level is simply too low on the receiver side of things and even in a quiet room with the phone volume on full there was difficulty in hearing the other person. Speaking from the phone end was clear and legible so there is clearly an issue with the mic implementation on the unit itself. The chimes are the usual suspects of classically annoying and interruptive bent. its a standard doorbell and as much as I hate such things I have found it to be quite handy in testing to let me know the reasons why the app hasn’t been functioning - AND the plan B, which is launching the app when you hear the chime if you wish to use it. For some people this use would actually be fine and it is actually quite workable really - though its so close to being comprehensive in function I’d love for it to get there.Motion detect was well implemented though I found it to be rather touchy. It gives a time out value for ignoring movement for any period of time. This means that someone walking past your house wont trigger it whereas, someone lurking around the front door for the set threshold will. I like this implementation though found it to be very touchy and the grain of the video could trigger itself. Also, you guessed it - the app has to be running in the background to receive the alarm otherwise the function is mute. The app has a small bug where pressing any of the action buttons elongates the screen for a brief period, but other than that it has been very reliable. For $100, sure I think you get OK value if you are prepared to work with it. Would I put a large hole in my front door and be prepared to bet the bank on this unit ‘as is’?. No I don’t think so but I will use it in an office setting i think it performs quite well there. I’m particularly harsh in terms of review of anything that requires me to put holes in my home - if it isn’t something I can really rely on, I find it hard to advise others to do it with complete enthusiasm. If you get an issue on startup be sure to reset the unit - mine had been used so it was broadcasting a false network etc. Likewise make sure you change default passwords and such. The app has multiple versions on google play by the same author which is somewhat weird.Product provided for review - its just my opinion.
