Worth it for active Index VR gaming!
tl;dr agree the $ is a tiny bit to much. Works as advertised. Would buy again. I would also buy any other stuff from this seller. This is my day 1 review. (july 14)Cost: I think for the quality of the build I did over pay a little, but I don't have a 3D printer or the time to try to reverse engineer this. In short only priced a tiny bit to high IMHO. Reality is the HMD should have had fans this entire time.Function: Thing works like a champ. Just did about 30 min of BeatSaber on EX+, and I am not sticky and wet. This thing is quiet. If you were playing games that are all but silent to prep you for a jump scare.... Wellll you might hear the fan (on full blast). Not gonna bet on it.Weight: But nothing, I could not tell to be honest.Quality: Other folks have spoken poorly. I am willing to bet they rushed things if you get my point. It is a small pain to plug it in (one time thing btw). I felt like I could get myself in trouble because I have big fat fingers. It is a tight fit but if I can plug it in without breaking things anyone can if they are carful and don't HULK SMASH!Do I think this thing will break if you drop it on the ground and it hits the floor hard, yep I think it will crack and need a bit of crazy glue. Do I think it will keep working after that, you betcha. The counter point to that would be make it out of CAST IRON steel and very heavy. From a design perspective I think they hit a perfect balance. This did not come out of a mass produced factory, this is made with love and craftmanship.Fit: Yomp this is a bit of a stinker. Black tape on the far right and left (only) that are 1/4 in by 1 in will more than do the trick. Not the fault of the device IMHO they did the best with what they had and it is a really good idea. Once you have 'tape' in place the seal if fantastic. A bit of a shock but obvious way to fix. I would not use glue just in case I want to swap the thing out someday.Eye impact: On full blast when you try it on you will notice a slight breeze. In play it didn't dry my eyes out at all. The design is to push / pull the air mostly through the device. It keeps the device much cooler (than expected to be honest) and I get a slight light wind. Think a computer fan from 6 ft away. You know it is their but only if you think about it.Packaging: They did really great job with this one. WELL above what I would expect. You will understand if you buy one. They forgot to run something in spell checker but it did make me smile.Would I buy again? Yep 10 out of 10 in everything but price and fit. But I am willing to pay that price to support good ideas. I was worried before I had the thing in hand. In price I would call it a 8-ish out of 10 as things stand.Fit I give it a real world 6 out of 10 but if they included two small bits of tape and instructions (we live in idiocracy today folks, sorry) for the the 'I aR dum' crowd I would give it a 10 for the full disclosure. It is a tiny issue with a fast fix.If you are sweating to death in VR, this is a must have. I am really shocked that Youtubers have not talked about this thing.V/R, till we cross paths again.UPDATE (about 2 months in)Love this thing more and more. I put some low tac tape (surgical tape is what I used) around the edges to get a 'perfect seal'. And it takes things to a whole new level. Unless I am in BeatSaber I never take it past the lowest setting and If I am doing a flight sim or poker I don't even bother.fyi it is not a HI MED LOW knob, this has a slider so you can set it for perfect. eg, low air at the start, low-med after about 20-30 min, med after 60 min on. With the tape I think my body would die before I need that much air.Fans still work perfect, no bearing noise, still not front heavy. I am well past the sting of the price tag. Overall gotta call this a complete win. I stand by my early statement. I consider these folks a trusted seller and if they are selling what I want I am buying.Only gotcha I have run across so far;If I have the fan up to high my eyes will dry out from all the airflow. So in short, my only bitch is the thing works to well. Unless this thing goes waaaaaay south, this thing is still a keeper. It it does explode, catch fire, or break I will update.Once again till next time my fellow VR junkies. (hmmmm just had an after thought... if anyone knows thrillseeker on youtube let him know about this thing. It is perfect for him.)

Works great, but it's also GREATLY overpriced
The attachment works great and looks great with the index but holy Jesus is the markup on it is way too high. It costs at most $25-$30 to put everything together (fans, controllers, printer filament, and housing) and this thing costs $129.99 which is just insane and is the only reason why I'm giving this nothing above 2 stars. Decrease that price down to ~$50 and the product would be perfectly reasonableUPDATE 5/3/2022: Nevermind this is down to a one star now. The wiring to the USB connector completely separated from the rest of the unit and has rendered it unusable. I could repair it but they put rubberized silicon that is so strong I can't get at the circuitry. Don't waste your time, just get the KIWI design fan.

Buy at discount and wait till v.2
I waited until the price dropped to purchase because this is definitely not worth more than $80 (actually should be $60 or less). It's 3D printed so it's rugged looking as if it was still a prototype. Mine only had two bottom magnets - the stock valve cover has 4 - no wonder people complain about a bad seal. However, I (poorly) cut a thin, 6" strip of double-sided nano tape and it was absolutely perfect. Some people here used electrical tape but that will look super ghetto and leave adhesive residue. Otherwise, it has fantastic adjustable airflow and turns off when the wheel control is in the off position. I would highly recommend this product if you expect to play >1hr of VR. I would also recommend that the producer work on version 2 that is cheaper and has a complete seal (4 magnets!!!!) that doesn't require the consumer to be creative with adhesive tape.

It Works
The product can make a fairly good stream of air inside of the Index. It has a wheel which allows you to dial in how much air you want. Using that wheel you can also turn off the fan altogether. I think it will also help keep the internals of the Index cooler too.Installation was easy, but I did end up applying electrical tape to make it have a perfect seal.I primarily use my Index for Beat Saber and it made a huge difference for me. Good luck!Update: Still works fine, but I think they should have added a sensor that would turn off the fan off if the headset did not move for a certain amount of time. You can turn it off manually, but it would be nice it is did it itself.

Does a good job but overpriced and lacking in quality
Some wiring is visible on the inner side of the mount, I lost a magnet on mine. and the control is a very cheap feeling volume wheel. Does what it says well enough though. It makes a huge difference for things like beatsaber
