An unlikable leading male character
I really liked some of the other billionaire series by Ivy Layne but this one I couldn't even finish. Jacob was a scumbag who exploited the female lead character. I couldn't enjoy reading about a male character who wasn't likable and the S&M format was a turn off. Every since the Shades of Grey series, every writer wants to try their hands at including it in at least one of their novels and it just doesn't work for most.

Very good book
It started out kinky but quickly moderated into a suspenseful love story. The characters were likeable and the book well-written. The villain was totally evil and got what he deserved. As part of a series I wished I'd started with book one first. The cast of characters are all interesting and I look forward to reading more by this author.

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series
There is no way to describe the male protagonist is this story as any kind of hero. He is the lowest form of pond scum I have encountered in the many books I have read. Jacob is rich and powerful. A widow comes to him for help from a father-in-law who promised to have her murdered or gang raped unless she submitted to be his sex toy, lent to others as he wanted. The protagonist, knowing this, gage the widow an option - become his sex slave and doormat, or go back to her father-in-law and his warped ideas. Oh! This is the only way he would help her and also her mother who suffers from dementia in a nursing home. He also forced her to perform oral sex on him immediately to prove her submission. There is no redeeming quality to this worm no matter what he does in the rest of the book. I also lost all respect for the rest of the family, who "looked out for each other and covered their back". There is no way others in this family can not know what is going on, especially since two other men in the same family live in the same building. I also lost all respect for the Sullivan family who provided security and protection as a business and for the family. There is no way they did not know what was going on. No one provided any form of intervention that was definitely called for. I was hoping Abigail would remove him from the gene pool at some point in the book and improve the overall quality of humanity as described in the Darwin awards. I really enjoyed the first two books in this series. But this book turned me off so much I will not continue anything in this series and may not read anything else from this author.

I would like to think that this doesn't happen in real life
I had some concerns with the start of this book and the title still bothers me. When I started this book, I really questioned if I would make it through based on the premise. I would like to think that this doesn't happen in real life, that a woman has to turn herself into a submissive to keep her mother's care. It does illustrate though what people are willing to do for something they want. As the book progressed Abby and Jacob became more equals and the initial bargain became a relationship, I softened toward Jacob. By the end, I liked him and found he and Abby did really make a good couple. I give credit to the author for being able to sway my opinion from the beginning to the end of the book. I do enjoy this series and look forward to the others in this series.

Really entertaining read!!!
My first reading of this author but not my last. This is the story of Abigail Jordan, a beautiful young woman who married John, now deceased mobster, in order to pay for the expensive home in which her dying mother resided. Abigail once a high end socialite daughter of a rich banker (now deceased) had a very good life until her father's death and finding out there was not money to pay for her mother's care and she did not have the education finished to acquire the kind of job to pay for it. Upon John's death Abigail found out what a true monster her father-in-law Big John was when he told her his plans for her. Abigail went to the only man she thought could help her Jacob Winters, a very handsome legitimate rich businessman who her husband had known. Jacob offered his own terms in order to help her which were better than what Big John was planning but did not say good things about Jacob. Abigail comes off very naïve, loyal, loving to the point she will do anything for those she loves. Jacob comes off as a real bast##d, but slowly comes around to a tarnished knight in armor who has commitment phobia and trouble stepping up to declare his feelings. Lots of action in this book especially with the true evilness of Big John. Recommend for a highly entertaining suspenseful read.

Abigail and Jacob!
After her husband passed away under suspicious circumstances Abigail thought her life couldn’t get any worse but then her father in-law advised that she was going to be part of a deal he was making with MC. This is a far cry from her privileged upbringing but her options are limited as her mother needs medical care that she can’t afford. She arranges a meeting with Jacob, the only man that she thinks would be willing to help her. When she explains her plight he agrees to help, as he has always wanted her but stayed away because she was married, however she must do whatever he bids. When her past puts both of them in danger will he acknowledge what his feelings for her are and will he choose to protect her or will her return her to the situation she so desperately tried to escape? This story has a little suspense, a few twists and whole lot of chemistry. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Doormat anyone?
I don't usually leave reviews but when I do, they're either to stop someone from wasting their time on a horrible book or it's worth their time to read. This one is HORRIBLE, unless you like your female to be a spineless doormat, then it might be for you. I personally couldn't finish even 30% of it. I bought the other 2 bc I like reading all parts but I wish I could get my money back on these.

The Billionaire's Pet
This is a 5 book series called 'Scandals of the Bad Boy Billionaires', 1 & 2 were novellas and everything happened so quickly you reach the end and think oh! I enjoyed them but prefer a bit more. This book was a bit more, at 300 pages it had time to develop a really good storyline, Abigail was running from her late husband's father, who wanted to give her as a sweetener for a 'business deal', Jacob's a billionaire love & leave em guy, he had met her at a few parties with her husband, they'd both felt the spark. Now she runs to him for help, how this pans out is good reading, very good, I loved it, try it you won't be sorrySue P

Brill
I so couldn't put this book down. Wasn't took keen at first at the 'let's nonsense but kept going and glad I did. Loved Abigail and Jacob and you still get the other family from other books popping in. Cannot wait to start Vance's book and the end had me laughing!

Absolutely loved it '''''''''' 5 big stars
I loved this series. The Billionaires Pet is the third book. I loved them all. I read one after the other and couldn't stop reading. Addicting. This is a story that you can't put down. It made me question a few beliefs - I kept asking myself why would Abigail do this, even to save her twin. It seemed like too much. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. This story is told from both Abigail and Jacob's viewpoint and it is an very emotional story. The writing is brilliant. The characters were so alive and so genuine.I hurt when they hurt, I rejoiced when they found happiness and I was puzzled by so many twists and turns. I admit that sometimes I was just banging my head with frustration over what seemed to be their outright stubbornness, but then something sweet would happen and I was right back in the thick of things with them. Rooting them on and amazed by the strength and character they both displayed.Expect to be caught up in the sentiment and be prepared for the roller coaster ride as the story unfolds. 5 big stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Loved it
Great story line on its own, but that also picks up snippets from previous books and includes tidbits of the following ones. I wasn't sure I liked the idea of a woman serving a man as a "pet", but Jacob redeems himself by the end of the book.
