I’ve tried a lot of different cat litters over the years, and Fresh Step Heavy Duty Advanced has definitely impressed me. With multiple pets in my home, odor control is a top priority, and this litter actually delivers on its 30-day odor control claim. The odor-eliminating carbon really makes a difference, especially compared to other brands that start to smell within a few days.The clumping power is solid—waste is easy to scoop, and I don’t get that annoying crumbling that some litters have. I also love that it doesn’t kick up a ton of dust when pouring, which is a big plus for my allergies.One thing to note is that it’s a bit heavier than some other litters, but that’s expected for such a high-performance formula. The 17.5 lb box lasts me a while, even with multiple cats, so I find it to be a good value.

This litter is absolutely amazing! It clumps well and masks alot of the smell. The only bad thing I can say about it is the dust. You have to pour it in slowly or you will have alot of dust in the air. Other than that, it works perfectly!

The litter itself is great and definitely produces clean clumps and prevents odors. The issues I have with it, however, and that the scent is so strong it’s almost nauseating if you live in a smaller space (apartment or keep in bathroom, for example). The scent also lingers on your cat’s paws for a good while, and for people sensitive to strong odors this could be quite irritating—I would imagine this isn’t great for your furry friends either. Secondly, if you dump a considerable amount of litter out to fill a box completely, the litter is quite dusty and will take awhile to settle. I don’t think it’s safe to breathe any of that in. Other than that, I appreciate the utility and cost of this litter, but I definitely prefer some other brands I’ve purchased in the past due to the overbearing odor situation, primarily.

I've tried a lot of litters and will never have to try any others again. Fresh step on odor lasts a long time, clumping so there is no waste my litter lasted a month. I have 18 cats!! Great for multi cats!!FreshStep is definitely what is fresh!!

With three cats in one room, you need a litter that can handle some stink! This litter is awesome! Controls odor better than any other I have found. Cats don't track litter everywhere. This stuff clumps great, making cleanup/scooping easy. This is all I buy now.

I have three cats, and the smell goes a long way, I do recommend refreshing daily for freshness consistency. Price could have been cheaper for the box size, I go through three boxes a month. The dust is not as strong as some litters. And yes it does gets trapped in my gets paws but not as badly as crystal litters.
