**Updated** Completely satisfied and then some ------ Picture quality abysmal, not worth the time or money investment
I really wanted this to work. It wouldve solved a big issue for me. I have exactly the number and configuration of devices that this unit has: old NES,N64, wii ps3, xb360, xb1 and a desktop. All the video would run to my TV and the optical audio would go to my logitech z5500 speakers. I will say that the audio separation from the hdmi worked as expected and I didnt notice any audio issues or signal loss. My issues were all with video. Immediately on first use there was a very bad grainy texture to any video played through it, from RCA to hdmi, it didnt matter the source. Also the picture was very noticeably darker than without the unit between source and TV. I might not complain if all sources were SD but with my hdmi sources I want a crisp picture and this unit did not deliver at all. I have returned the unit and will continue my search for a solution.**Updated**Shortly after posting my initial review J-Tech contacted me about my review. They were obviously unhappy about it and wanted to find a way to make it better. They offered to send me another unit to try out and give them a second chance. I must say that this second unit has met all the expectations I had and that were squashed with my first review. This unit has worked flawlessly over a week plus of thorough testing on my part. Picture is crystal 1080p and audio sounds great. I have all my gaming systems hooked up and switching between them is a breeze. On top of how great the unit is working I must say that I am thoroughly impressed at the level of customer service that J-Tech has shown me. I would be more than willing to make additional purchases of their products based on this experience. Buy with confidence because if you have an issue they will work with you to fix it for sure.

Worked great... for a year. Then it died.
I was pretty happy with this originally, as it functioned correctly and did exactly what I wanted it to do. However, about a year after I got it, it started to randomly cut the video feed for a few seconds at a time (should have been a sign) and then a couple of nights ago it died completely. It wont power on at all, no green light... nothing. For only being year and a half old, I'm rather disappointed at the short life of this product.

Almost perfect
It has almost every input type that you can think of. Great for old game systems such as the N64 or Gamecube. Along with slightly newer ones such as the Wii. Along with switching my Xbox one/Ps4/Cable Box. It makes it all easy to switch between. It's all on HDMI 1. Which is great! The only issue that I found was with some of the upscaling. Some of it gets stretched to 16x9. Which doesn't look good with composite. Granted composite wouldn't look great on a HDTV anyway, but still. It's kind of a mess. Some of the text is hard to read. I would have used Svideo for the N64, but alas that was not an option. This product is pretty awesome. Even if it is not perfect. It is worth a buy if you intend to upscale your older systems. Yes, there may be better options out there for specific systems, but this is the best all in one solution. Hope this helps!

It works very nicely and has a lot of ports
It works very nicely and has a lot of ports. The only problem is that the remote is a bit... Bad. But it's not terrible.

Worked great for my original Xbox, Xbox One, Playstation 3, and my Playstation 4.
First unit has a dead HDMI port on input HDMI 1 and the color was washed out for component.Contacted J-Tech support and they requested I send the unit to them. After they received the unit, they sent me a new unit.Overall the new unit seems to be working with all ports.Pros:Nice array of inputs.Like that it has a remote to switch between inputs.Tech support was very easy to deal with and I had a new unit within a week.Cons:First unit was defectiveComponent is a little washed out when going through the unit versus going directly into the TV.There are no optical inputs so you can't connect older devices like PS3 to the device and get surround sound.

Great Customer Service
Giving 5 stars even though I received 2 faulty units. Here's why:The first two units improperly autoswitched inputs between component video and HDMI even though there was no HDMI signal. The first return was made due to a hunch that it was a one-off problem. The second return was made after CS told me that the manufacturer recently redesigned the unit w/o this autoswitching behavior. Customer Service was extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. The final unit I received works great and combines everything into one package ( 1xComponent + 3xHDMI ) in a tight space where I couldn't fit a receiver. Thanks J-Tech!

Good while it lasted, but it lasted for less than 2 years.
One of the HDMI ports fried pretty quickly, but the rest of the unit held up for about two years, then all the lights started flashing and it no longer works.

won't work with many resolutions. tvs display's non-supported signal
Purchased this unit to convert av signal to hdmi to use with a refurbished NES. Unfortunately, it does not work for that purpose even though thats one of its main functions, converting av, componet, vga, to hdmi as well as a hdmi switch. I have a 4x4 matrix so I was able to test this on my three different tvs. Two are Sony, the third is an Epson home theater projector. One of the sony's and the epson projector will not display any video and display a message indicated that the signal is unsupported. The other sony tv displays the video and audio without issue. The two tv's are not that different from each other. And the epson projector that is very high end, I was surprised that it wouldn't display the signal. Just incase it problem was something to do with the 4x4 matrix I bypassed it and went straight to projector and still unsupported signal. The "manual" has one sentence which made me believe that I could change the edid. It said to hold the input button on the device until the led flashes twice. Well I held it for over two minutes and no flashing lights. I also tried to plug a blu ray via dvd and it still would not display on the two displays, only the one sony. If there's something wrong with the device, why would it still work on one display but not the others? The unit feels solid and not cheaply built, but what good is that if it doesn't work? Now I have a $150 paper weight.
