Literally perfect. Ignore the negative reviews.
This fan is amazing. I have been looking so long to find something that didn’t take up a ton of room. That would look nice on our lanai and also had good performance. This fan checks all of that. We have a very large lanai. But no ceiling fan supports. It gets too hot during the summer in Florida without air movement.I was so excited to find a tower fan that’s weather resistant. So I took a chance.First. The appearance. It looks really nice. The front is a tan/taupe color with a brushed nickel accent running down the side. The back and base is in gray. It looks very expensive for an outdoor fan.Now the performance. This fan moves some serious air. I can feel it. And see our plants blowing if it’s on high over 15 ft away. It has 4 speeds. Obviously there is some fan noise if it’s on high. It’s the air moving. I saw some people complain about that. Not sure how anyone could make a fan this powerful without hearing the air move. I actually like it. It’s soothing. However on high is about the only setting you can really hear air moving. And again it’s not loud. Just powerful. The other three speeds are pretty quiet. And still move a lot of air. The lowest setting is silent. But you can still feel air moving. I actually prefer this fan over ceiling fans. The amount of air it moves would never be able to come from a ceiling fan.Now the oscillation. People complained about this to. Most tower fans swivel the entire unit. This one does not. The fan itself does not move. But the internal grate inside does go from side to side. And it is enough movement that it covers over 8ft of left to right air movement. You can really tell. So I’m not sure what the complaint is with that. I’m assuming it was done this way to make the fan more weather resistant. The other complaint I saw was people saying the area the air comes out isn’t the whole front of the fan like most towers. That is true. However. It is 20 times stronger airflow out of that area than the strongest tower fan I’ve ever seen. I’m assuming it was designed like this intentionally for concentrated air flow. As well as rain durability. I actually prefer it in a setting where you need powerful air flow. There is no remote. Which I personally don’t care. Very nice simple lighted controls right on the front. If youre on the fence buy it. It’s a great fan. It really cuts the heat down. Even in direct sun. I love it. And we have a happy pup who lays in front of it almost all day now. Before she couldn’t stay out long. Now we cant get her in.

Great outdoor fan and not loud at all
Really good outdoor fan. I read some other reviews which weren't great, and I couldn't disagree more. This while seeming like a larger unit, takes up MUCH LESS space than a regular fan. It is fairly quiet - even on the highest setting. Again it's not 100% silent, which it's not supposed to be. But it's not loud. And if you need quieter, the lower settings still provide a lot of air. This is a great product.

Only outdoor-rated fan I could find, and a very nice one
The only rooms in our house without ceiling fans are our covered porch, our open porch, and our garage. We recently thought about adding a ceiling fan to our covered porch, but decided getting HOA approval wasn't worth the trouble when this Lasko YF202 fan looked to be able to do the same task, plus be easily movable to the other porch or garage whenever needed there. (A convenient handle is built into the top for this purpose.)Compared to some Sharper Image tower fans we used to have, this fan is a good bit taller, about twice as wide, and somewhat noisier - moving a LOT of air on even its lowest speed. It has no remote control, but is easy to control via a front panel of simple electronics. One button does off and on, another toggles through the four speeds, and a third button turns moving vanes to direct airflow off and on (rather than the entire fan oscillating side to side.) This fan appears to have a sibling fan (Model YF200) that includes Bluetooth, so anyone needing remote control might look for that model.Initial assemble requires no tools other than a knife or scissors to remove all the packaging. The base simply snaps together and in place. There's a ten foot grounded power cord, with a ground fault interruptor built into the cord near the plug. Unfortunately, TOO near the plug to easily close an outdoor outlet cover. To get past that, I had to add a one foot grounded extension cord from Amazon. In use, the fan is very pleasant on low speed. With the vanes moving, it easily delivers ample airflow to all our outdoor chairs on its lowest speed, fan is audible, but not bothersome - about the same as our refrigerator. (57 db at a distance of one foot, according to my Apple watch.) At highest speed, it moves a LOT of air, and makes a loud but steady fan noise. (91 db at one foot, according to the watch.)The real test will be leaving this outdoors during the rainy season this winter, as our home is too small to want it taking up space indoors when need needed for use. Thus far, it looks like it will outlast use.

Very powerful fan!
My only complaint is that it is Not Silver But has a Silver Stripe down the side. The color is really like the old 70's ugly computers which is ugly as sin. But this fan is very powerful. I love it, I can tell it will help us with the heat on the patio under the sunbrella patio cover. I got a cover for it online too and it worked out great.

Great outdoor fan
I bought this specifically to keep mosquitos away and it worked perfectly. Great range of speeds and oscillates so it is not continuously blowing directly at you.

Great indoor fan NOT SO great outdoor fan!
Powerful even on low setting for indoors! unfortunately does not push enough air in Florida apartment balcony OUTDOOR! . Probably work better if the air vents were full length not only upper half my pic shows it even reaches down the hall so I can great fan for indoors but not for outdoors that was the reason I bought this fan way overpriced for outdoor fan so will be getting it as a gift to my daughter who has a smaller balcony probably will work better for her

Awesome
OMG! Perfect to cool you off! High power! Works great! The only thing is the blue lights are SUPER BRIGHT at night. Also the oscillating is kind of weird bc it is a small opening in the fan. But direct fan is amazing. Love it. Would buy again
